About The Position

Akzo Nobel Coatings Inc. is seeking a Senior Production Planner to develop an optimal factory plan for both the short term (13 weeks) and long term (24 months) to fulfill market demands. This role requires considering factory capacity and constraints, balancing service, inventory, and costs. The planner will leverage understanding of existing and future capacity plans/constraints (RCCP) at the manufacturing plant and distribution network, assessing how production capacity can be flexed to meet demand. Responsibilities include managing exceptions and other activities related to production planning, ensuring SEMI/FINI availability for the master production plan in line with MRP parameters and supplier contracts. The role also involves ensuring master data correctness and proper housekeeping of transactional data, maintaining good communication and integration with other planning teams, manufacturing (scheduling), logistics, customer care, and other stakeholders. The Senior Production Planner will drive MDI meetings and gatekeeping meetings with other departments, support with relevant KPIs to measure performance, and support projects and process improvement to enhance performance and efficiency of required planning activities (SLOBs, Inventories & Service across scope site / supply points). Close collaboration with manufacturing is essential.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field of study.
  • 3 years of experience in production planning, supply chain management, or manufacturing operations.
  • 3 years of experience in chemical manufacturing unit operations project management.
  • 3 years of experience with supply planning in SAP/ERP.
  • 2 years of experience with IBP processes management, including coordinating teams and managing stakeholders.
  • 2 years of experience with inventory ABC-XYZ and safety stock policy management.
  • 2 years of experience using supply planning tools including Blue Yonder Enterprise Supply Planning or equivalent.
  • 2 years of experience in project and change management, utilizing PMI methodology or Scrum Framework.
  • 1 year of experience with advance Reporting Tools, including Power BI and Data Analytics.
  • 1 year of experience with Excel VBA.

Responsibilities
