About The Position

The Senior Production Artist will join the Production Art Dept, focusing on NikeSKIMS. This role requires someone who loves the technical details of the design process and finding new ways of working. The position amplifies Design by delivering flawless, production-ready files, while creating time and space for Designers to be their most creative. The Senior Production Artist will be a trusted resource within Design, creating detailed and accurate schematics, with the ability to run point for Production Art by attending relevant planning meetings, owning personal action items/workload, and being available as the go-to graphic production resource for a greater, cross-functioning team. This role requires a creative mindset and the ability to manage multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, while keeping production moving forward. The work is dynamic, and the candidate must be willing to roll up their sleeves to solve complex creative problems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a design and/or production environment
  • Advanced knowledge of Illustrator and Adobe Suite
  • Advanced knowledge of graphic applications such as ink types and trim substrates
  • Understanding of product lifecycle and key deliverables
  • Expert-Level listening, communication, organization, problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to support and lead peers in new tools and ways of working
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity while continuing to collaborate with the team
  • Laser focus on the critical details that often get missed
  • Ability to multi-task amidst competing priorities
  • Curiosity for learning and building a strong design community

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a Sportswear/Lifestyle brand is a bonus
  • Basic understanding of 3D apparel programs (CLO or Lotta)
  • Understanding of Smartsheet, Airtable, and Miro is a plus
  • A love for sports is a bonus but a love for design is essential

Responsibilities

  • Create and finalize graphic details across multiple levels of product for Footwear, Apparel, and Accessories.
  • Leverage 2D and 3D tools to create and finalize graphic details.
  • Participate in Production Art meetings and alignment.
  • Perform high-volume schematic creation and lay-down product page creation.
  • Create documentation for downstream partners.
  • Review strike-offs.
  • Track and maintain updates on all appropriate files for accuracy through final approval.
  • Play a big role in developing new tools for alignment and driving greater efficiency in the product creation process.
  • Attend relevant planning meetings.
  • Own personal action items/workload.
  • Be available as the go-to graphic production resource for a greater, cross-functioning team.
