About The Position

The Senior Product Specialist – Assembly supports product quality, manufacturability, and continuous improvement throughout the production lifecycle. The role is the key liaison among engineering, production, quality, and operations, helping ensure products meet design intent and operational requirements. The specialist analyzes defects, leads root cause investigations, supports process improvements, manages product introductions, and implements solutions to reduce defects. This position serves as the manufacturing engineering point of contact for assigned products and processes. It collaborates with Design Engineering and cross-functional teams, provides product and process feedback, maintains assembly documentation, and supports training and production goals. The position is onsite in a manufacturing/factory environment in Pooler, Georgia, with exposure to noise, temperature changes, and dusty conditions. A flexible schedule is required, including Friday through Sunday, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., along with the physical activities and lifting described in the posting.

Requirements

1–3 years of experience in an assembly or manufacturing environment.
Strong technical writing skills, including experience creating SOPs or technical documentation.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools such as 5S, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping.
Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, and technical documents.
Proficiency with basic hand tools, measurement instruments, and diagnostic equipment.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Basic computer proficiency, including MS Office and document management systems.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work in a high-stress environment and independently, with attention to detail.
Ability to understand processes, troubleshoot, and develop and recommend solutions.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Microsoft Project.
Must pass drug screens, background checks, and any pre-employment tests conducted in accordance with applicable law.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including Friday through Sunday, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift or move up to 35 pounds, and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to perform continuous, repetitive physical activities; grasp or pinch small items; reach out and up; turn the wrist; keep pace with production speed; push and pull with reasonable force; and bend, stoop, climb, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
Must be able to work in multiple climates, including hot and cold temperatures and dusty environments.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree or technical certification in Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

Act as the manufacturing engineering point of contact for assigned products and processes.
Collaborate with Design Engineering to understand product design intent and functional requirements.
Provide design feedback and recommend changes to improve manufacturability, reduce defects, and optimize production efficiency.
Support cross-functional teams in understanding and maintaining design intent.
Support manufacturing engineering team members with product training at the component level.
Lead and maintain the change management process for product introductions.
Write, revise, and maintain clear and accurate SOPs and work instructions for assembly processes.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve assembly efficiency, quality, and ergonomics.
Participate in root cause analysis and corrective and preventive action activities.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Maintain accurate records of process changes, equipment maintenance, and training activities.
Support additional manufacturing tasks as needed to meet production goals.
Perform other duties as assigned.
