Job Summary: The Senior Product Procurement Manager serves as the primary interface between the Procurement organization and the Drivetrain, Hydraulics, and EVC product groups. This role is responsible for translating customer and business requirements into actionable procurement strategies while ensuring strong communication, alignment, and execution across stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.
  • Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Knowledge of business intelligence; ability to utilize business processes and technologies for gathering, storing, analyzing, and providing access to data that helps the organization make better business decisions.
  • Knowledge of strategic sourcing methods, technologies and processes; ability to analyze, improve and re-evaluate organizational procurement process continuously.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary customer-facing procurement representative for the Drivetrain, Hydraulics, and EVC product groups.
  • Gather, interpret, and translate customer requirements into clear procurement and category inputs.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end customer business needs and collect detailed program information.
  • Serve as a central communication conduit by participating in customer reviews and ensuring timely, accurate information flow back to category teams.
  • Provide direction, coaching, and guidance to team members to ensure effective execution of key activities and alignment with customer and business priorities.
  • Lead major strategic initiatives (“big‑rock” projects) that support category transformation objectives.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of category strategies across multiple commodity areas, including castings, fabrications, non‑metallics, PF, and friction materials.
  • Facilitate and manage facility‑specific workshops focused on short‑ and long‑term goals related to up‑turn performance, quality, velocity, and cost.
  • Develop and execute both short and long‑term cost‑reduction targets by building and maintaining a robust cost‑reduction pipeline.
  • Lead, coach, and coordinate cross‑functional teams to ensure successful workshop outcomes and sustained execution of improvement actions.
  • Collaborate closely with key leaders across product groups to ensure priorities, perspectives, and requirements are fully integrated into category planning and execution.
