As a Senior Product Owner within Tempus Technologies, subsidiary of PNC, you will be based remotely. This position may be eligible for remote work in select geographic locations, subject to approval by PNC. If approved, work must be conducted from a quiet, secure, and confidential home-based workspace. Occasional in-office participation may be required based on business needs. PNC will not provide sponsorship for employment visas or participate in STEM OPT for this position.

Requirements

  • Strong experience as a Product Owner or Senior Product Manager on complex initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large backlogs, dependencies, and cross team coordination.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments with multiple stakeholders.
  • Proven delivery mindset with a focus on outcomes, not just artifacts.
  • University / college degree, with 5+ years of industry-relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
  • Bachelors degree.
  • Customer Focused - Knowledgeable of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and able to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
  • Managing Risk - Assessing and effectively managing all of the risks associated with their business objectives and activities to ensure they adhere to and support PNC's Enterprise Risk Management Framework.

Responsibilities

  • Provide centralized strategy, coordination, and execution oversight across product and cross functional teams.
  • Ensure continuity and delivery for large, complex programs where existing product capacity is constrained.
  • Act as Principal Product Owner for high complexity, multi workstream initiatives.
  • Drive alignment across stakeholders on priorities, scope, and outcomes.
  • Establish and reinforce execution discipline, including backlog clarity, planning rigor, and outcome tracking.
  • Improve visibility and transparency across initiatives for product leadership and partners.
  • Step in to stabilize programs where ownership is fragmented or execution risk is elevated.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Design, and Delivery to ensure high quality outputs and outcomes.
  • Owns the vision and definition of the product.
  • Serves as the voice of the Customer.
  • Ensures the Scrum Team(s) effort is concentrated on the right priorities based on business value.
  • Defines and conveys the vision to the team(s) in order to address client requirements to ensure a successful product for business objectives.
  • Accountable for the creation of and the integrity of the product backlog.
  • Prioritizes and leads grooming of the product backlog.
  • Works closely with the Scrum Master(s) and development team(s), to ensure the right items are focused on during the development process.
  • Primary point of contact for questions from the team(s) and is empowered to make decisions.
