About The Position

We are looking for a Senior Product Owner for Workday Payroll to lead the evolution of our global People Technology ecosystem. This role involves owning the strategic roadmap, configuration, and continuous optimization of Workday Payroll to ensure seamless and highly reliable payroll operations. You will partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT leaders to transform complex statutory obligations and business requirements into scalable, automated solutions, ultimately enhancing the global employee experience through accurate, compliant, and forward-looking payroll technology.

Requirements

Demonstrated skill in hands-on configuration of Workday Payroll, including complex calculation rules, retroactivity, payroll inputs, and deep integration across Core HCM, Time Tracking, Absence, and Security.
Proven capacity to lead complex enterprise technology initiatives, partnering seamlessly across HR, Finance, IT, and external vendors to translate statutory policy into scalable technical architecture.
Strong understanding of payroll audit controls, statutory compliance, and data governance.
Analytical mindset to diagnose edge cases and automate business workflows.

Responsibilities

Architect and execute the Workday Payroll roadmap, implementing scalable business processes, advanced calculation logic, and automated workflows to maximize payroll accuracy and operational efficiency.
Design, configure, test, and deploy robust Workday Payroll functionality, including earnings, deductions, taxes, and integrations with Core HCM, Time Tracking, and Benefits, ensuring seamless global payroll cycles.
Collaborate with HR, Finance, Accounting, and regional Payroll teams to align system configurations with evolving statutory regulations, internal controls, and SOX compliance standards.
Evaluate bi-annual Workday releases, resolve complex calculation and retroactivity edge cases, and build insightful operational dashboards to empower data-driven decision-making.
