About The Position

Microsoft Security is seeking a Senior Product Marketing Manager to own practical, actionable, practitioner-focused security guidance for the AI era. The role owns guidance as a product, from insight and intake through co-creation and technical validation to reference architectures, labs, and walkthroughs that practitioners use in production. The role orchestrates guidance for Zero Trust for AI and the security imperatives Get Ready for AI, Secure AI, and Defend with AI. It serves security practitioners, architects, and technical decision makers. The position works with engineering, product management, security architects, the Office of the CISO, and Product Marketing Managers to turn Microsoft Security innovation, Zero Trust principles, AI-era security learnings, and Secure Future Initiative insights into implementable guidance for customers and partners. This is a technical product marketing role requiring understanding of architecture, review of reference implementations, and communication with security practitioners. It is a high-impact individual contributor position with broad visibility across Microsoft Security. The role partners with the Product Marketing Manager for the Security Practitioner Audience, who takes the guidance to market and measures business impact, and the Product Marketing Manager for the CISO audience, who leads the decision-maker narrative.

Responsibilities

  • Own and operationalize the guidance intake model, synthesizing product innovation, customer and field signals, practitioner insights, Zero Trust and Zero Trust for AI guidance, AI safety and security learnings, and Secure Future Initiative insights into a prioritized technical roadmap for each quarterly content wave.
  • Partner with engineering subject matter experts, product managers, security architects, the Customer Value and Experience team, and the Office of the CISO to co-create prescriptive guidance using a consistent taxonomy: problem, solution, implementation guidance, and implications.
  • Build end-to-end guidance for each job to be done, following the full sequence practitioners execute across Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Entra, and Microsoft Purview, including product handoffs.
  • Develop hands-on labs, reference architectures, and walkthroughs covering deployment sequencing, configuration, and practitioner validation steps.
  • Own technical quality and product alignment by coordinating subject matter expert reviews for technical accuracy and practitioner relevance before publication, and mapping guidance to in-product domains and maturity signals so deployment impact can be measured.
  • Serve as a technical resource for practitioners and architects by presenting technical sessions and demos at security events, facilitating workshops, gathering direct customer feedback, and incorporating it into the guidance roadmap.
