Altitude by Geotab is seeking a Senior Product Marketing Manager to shape and deliver the product story for Altitude, Geotab’s commercial vehicle analytics platform, across agencies, petroleum operators, AEC consultants and technology partners. This role is central to establishing Altitude as the definitive source of truth for commercial movement planning. As a product focused company, Product Marketing works closely alongside Product Managers, Engineering, Design, and Data—driving market outcomes and growth for a product area throughout its full lifecycle. Product Marketing acts as the trusted, growth-driving bridge between Product teams delivering complex data products and the markets that depend on them. The Senior Product Marketing Manager is the storyteller and market-facing expert for Altitude’s transportation analytics products - a commercial vehicle data platform built on Geotab’s proprietary telematics network. This role is a contributor to strategy + roadmap, and owner of growth leading to market launch of their products through orchestration of the marketing team. This includes developing compelling product positioning and messaging, leading cross-functional teams to bring products to market successfully, and driving product adoption through targeted marketing campaigns and sales enablement. They serve as the market expert, gathering competitive intelligence and customer insights to inform product roadmap and strategy, and act as a trusted advisor to product management, sales, and marketing teams. They translate complex data products into defensible, ROI-clear narratives for the market. Ultimately, they are accountable for driving growth and market leadership for their assigned product portfolio.

Requirements

8+ years of work experience ideally in Product Marketing ideally in B2B or B2G SaaS, data analytics, transportation technology, smart cities, or geospatial intelligence (GIS). Proven track record with complex data products or platform services sold into enterprise or government buyers.
Post-Secondary Diploma/Degree specialization in Engineering, Business/Marketing, Computer Science or a related field highly valued.
Self starter, resourceful with strong analytical skills with the ability to problem-solve to well-judged decisions.
Proven ability to contribute to product marketing strategy and roadmap development, with a keen sense of priorities, along with an ability to pivot as the landscape changes.
Ability to analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a strong focus on deadlines and deliverables.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and market conditions.
Deep understanding of customer needs and the ability to translate those needs into compelling product marketing strategies.
Experience in mentoring and guiding junior team members.
Ability to establish and optimize product marketing processes and standards.
Expertise in conducting in-depth competitive analysis and developing strategies to differentiate products.
Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and industry influencers.

Responsibilities

Tell the Altitude story in a simple, clear, and compelling way translating transportation analytics data into the language of infrastructure planners, petroleum network developers and AEC consultants who need it to make high stake decisions.
Own the Altitude category narrative evolving the market conversation from generic traffic data to deterministic commercial vehicle intelligence.
Partner with Product Marketing Management (PMM) leadership and other senior team members to build the holistic product marketing roadmap with other senior team members, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
Assist with defining KPAs for the team and overall team goals year over year.
Define how we’ll achieve the next level of growth.
Partner with Product Marketing Management (PMM) leadership to shape the Product Marketing craft at Geotab and the role Product Marketing plays as the team grows & develops.
Stand up processes and standards for how we go to market and coordinate with internal stakeholders.
Explore or manage the use of 3rd party tools or platforms to enhance the capabilities of the PMM function.
Serve as a mentor for more junior team members of both PMM and the organization as whole.
Develop razor sharp customer insights and empathy.
Build expertise and a central repository for industry + growth trends, personas, competition, distribution channels/partners.
Partner with the marketing team to develop an analyst relations strategy for briefings and engagements, create content and messaging for analyst briefings, serve as the Altitude SME in analyst content creation (review/edit content).
Collaborate closely with the Product Manager to embody the "voice" of the product, possessing comprehensive knowledge of its features and capabilities.
Tailor messaging and documentation to meet the specific requirements of individual and sales teams.
Work with marketing to develop a content strategy by buyer funnel stages and serve as Altitude SME in content development.
This content includes but is not limited to white papers, case studies, blog posts, slide decks, sales tools, ROI calculators, and webinars to enable product launches and ongoing marketing campaigns.
Collaborate with Sales Enablement on the creation and delivery of training programs and sales tools to equip the sales team with the knowledge and resources they need to effectively sell the product.
Leverage and develop AI toolsets as part of your daily workflow to accelerate content development, market research synthesis and competitive monitoring, and help establish AI-augmented PMM as a standard within the Altitude team.
