Senior Product Manager

Ando Technologies, Inc

About The Position

Ando is building AI-native workforce infrastructure for the 80M hourly workers in the U.S. and hundreds of millions globally. Labor is the last broken supply chain. Forecasting, allocation, and professional identity remain fragmented across static tools and manual decision-making. Ando is rebuilding this system from first principles. We start with highly accurate AI-generated demand forecasts, move to allocation-first labor optimization, and compound value through a persistent labor graph that captures skills, reliability, availability, and performance across time and employers. Over time, this becomes a professional identity layer and intelligent system serving both enterprises and frontline workers. Ando is a Seed-stage company backed by Slow Ventures and experienced operators. We are live with real customers and entering a phase where architectural clarity, learning loops, and AI systems quality are foundational to long-term success.

Requirements

  • 6-7+ years in product management, including time at seed / Series A / early-growth startups; comfortable being scrappy in a resource-constrained 0→1 environment
  • A track record owning a roadmap from wedge to platform and shaping product strategy alongside a founder/CEO
  • Proven ability to turn AI/ML and data — forecasting, optimization, recommendations — into simple, usable customer workflows, owning the full model-to-product path (data quality and model behavior through UX and measurable impact), not just translating models
  • Experience designing AI co-piloting / agent experiences with explainability, override controls, and auditability that earn human trust
  • Sharp product judgment, low ego, high trust, ownership, curiosity
  • Ability to represent the product credibly to customers and strategic partners

Nice To Haves

  • High product craft standards and the ability to influence cross-functionally without authority
  • Strong customer-discovery discipline across operators, managers, workers, and buyers
  • Adoption and activation focus — onboarding, retention, behavior change
  • Data and experimentation fluency — defines metrics, runs A/B tests, reads product analytics, ties roadmap to outcomes
  • Depth in complex operational workflows — manager tools, frontline/worker tools, scheduling/staffing-type systems
  • Background in workforce SaaS / labor / marketplaces (HR tech, scheduling, workforce management, restaurant/retail tech)
  • Consumer-grade UX judgment (relevant to the worker app / talent network)
  • Marketplace / network intuition (labor graph, liquidity, worker identity)
  • Design taste; a gift for making complex products feel simple
  • Genuine interest in the deskless / shift-based worker problem

Responsibilities

  • Own the product roadmap across Ando's full surface — enterprise, employee, AI, labor intelligence, and workforce experiences — and help shape overall product strategy in close partnership with the leadership team
  • Translate Ando's product vision into clear priorities, roadmap sequencing, and measurable outcomes across the product
  • Balance immediate customer needs with long-term platform differentiation while ensuring products remain intuitive, AI-native, and operationally valuable
  • Partner directly with customers to deeply understand operational pain points, workflow complexity, and adoption blockers — maintaining regular customer touch points (weekly calls, onsite visits, etc) and owning the translation of those insights into prioritized discovery and experiments, not just learning
  • Design operator and employee workflows that reduce friction and build trust in AI-assisted experiences, with clear explainability, override controls, and auditability
  • Partner closely with Engineering and AI leadership to translate forecasting, optimization, and workforce intelligence into usable customer experiences — owning the full model-to-product path and accountable for end-to-end delivery, from input/data quality and model behavior through UX and measurable impact, not just translation
  • Define how AI-driven recommendations and labor intelligence surface in ways that are explainable, actionable, and valuable to frontline teams
  • Drive disciplined execution across the product — specs, prioritization, reviews, shipping cadence — establishing operating rhythms that create speed without sacrificing long-term architecture
  • Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Customer Success, and GTM to deliver high-impact product improvements
  • Own prioritization across the roadmap — balancing customer urgency, scalability, revenue impact, and differentiation — with documented tradeoffs and clear decision rights within product
  • Work closely with the CEO and leadership team to align Engineering, Operations, CS, and GTM around product priorities
  • Set the standard for product craft as Ando's first dedicated PM, with the opportunity to shape how the product function grows over time
  • Communicate Ando's product direction and decisions to internal stakeholders and strategic customers with technical depth and strong product judgment

Benefits

  • We value diverse perspectives, clear communication, and personal accountability.
  • We move fast through alignment rather than force, operate comfortably in ambiguity, and build with empathy for the enterprises and workers our systems serve.
  • We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
  • We believe diverse perspectives make teams stronger, systems smarter, and outcomes more equitable.
  • Building infrastructure for the frontline workforce demands empathy, representation, and respect, and we take that responsibility seriously.
