About The Position

The Senior Product Manager is a strategic individual contributor within the HID IAM Authentication Business Unit, responsible for the strategy, roadmap, and execution of assigned authentication solutions. Acting as the general manager for their product area, this role defines market positioning, prioritizes product investments, and delivers measurable business and customer outcomes. The Senior Product Manager identifies opportunities to drive growth, adoption, portfolio attach, and competitive differentiation while balancing customer needs, technical feasibility, and commercial impact. The role partners closely with Engineering, Product Marketing, Sales, and Technical Services to ensure strong alignment and disciplined execution. Within a SAFe and Lean Portfolio Management environment, the Senior Product Manager contributes to Epic development, Lean Business Cases, PI planning, and product lifecycle management. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in product management, technology, business, or a related discipline.
  • 7 to 10 years of product management experience in authentication, identity, cybersecurity, or enterprise SaaS markets.
  • Strong understanding of authentication technologies including FIDO, passkeys, MFA, and enterprise identity ecosystems.
  • Experience delivering enterprise scale products in agile or SAFe environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into execution and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to balance technical feasibility with market impact.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree is a plus but not required.
  • Experience designing and delivering passwordless authentication solutions for large enterprises is preferred.
  • Experience contributing to portfolio level planning and cross product initiatives is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Lean Portfolio Management and scaled agile methodologies is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Owning and managing the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle for assigned authentication solutions.
  • Translating customer needs, market trends, regulatory requirements, and competitive insights into prioritized product requirements, backlogs, and release plans.
  • Defining clear product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and desired outcomes to guide Engineering delivery.
  • Leading product participation in PI Planning and maintain alignment among roadmap priorities, delivery plans, and business objectives.
  • Establishing and maintaining customer and stakeholder feedback loops to inform product decisions and roadmap refinement.
  • Defining, monitoring, and reporting key product performance indicators, including revenue, adoption, customer value, portfolio attach, and market performance.
  • Coordinating launch readiness and go-to-market execution with Product Marketing, Sales, Technical Services, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Representing the product in customer engagements, executive reviews, internal planning forums, and relevant industry discussions.
  • Identifying product risks, dependencies, and performance gaps, and driving appropriate actions to address them.
  • Owning the overall performance and lifecycle of assigned authentication solutions, from market assessment and concept development through launch, growth, optimization, and end-of-life planning.
  • Developing product strategies and investment recommendations that support business unit growth, customer value, and portfolio differentiation.
  • Leading the development of Epics and Lean Business Cases within the SAFe and Lean Portfolio Management framework.
  • Maintaining a strong understanding of customer needs, market dynamics, regulatory developments, and trends across authentication, identity security, and passwordless technologies.
  • Partnering with Engineering, Product Marketing, Sales, Technical Services, and other stakeholders to drive product adoption, portfolio attach, customer expansion, and commercial success.
  • Evaluating product performance, risks, dependencies, and market opportunities, and recommending strategic or corrective actions as needed.
  • Providing clear, data-informed product recommendations, business updates, and investment priorities to business unit leadership through the Director of Product Management and Strategic Alliances.
