About The Position

We are seeking experienced product managers to join our team at a critical inflection point. Our technology is transforming how donors give and how nonprofits raise funds. To scale our impact, we need product people who can translate deep customer understanding into products that ship. Depending on your experience, you will own an entire product line end-to-end or individual high-impact projects within one. You will own real product surface area from day one: gathering insights from customers and internal teams, shaping priorities, defining requirements precisely enough for engineers to build fast, and shipping. You will work closely with engineering, design, GTM, and our nonprofit and platform partners, turning insights into scalable product. This is a high-impact role, perfect for someone who thrives at the intersection of product strategy, customer experience, and execution.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of product management experience
  • First-principles product thinking: you connect customer pain points to product solutions, and behind your best work there's an insight others missed
  • Precise scoping and spec writing: you turn ambiguous requests into well-defined projects engineers can execute
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented: you manage multiple parallel workstreams, follow through on commitments, and nothing falls through the cracks
  • You ship: a track record of work that actually got built, launched, and adopted
  • Clear, followable communication, written and live
  • Technical fluency — comfort with data models, API docs, webhooks/auth flows — whether from a CS degree or self-taught (expected for the most senior scope; a big plus otherwise)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building product process (roadmaps, metrics, cycle planning) at an early or growth-stage startup
  • B2B SaaS fintech, or payments experience
  • Familiarity with nonprofit sector, CRMs (Salesforce NPSP, Blackbaud), or fundraising platforms
  • Track record of improving processes to reduce manual work

Responsibilities

  • Drive product direction through customer insight
  • Lead discovery with our nonprofit and platform partners and internal teams to identify pain points and uncover opportunities that inform the product roadmap
  • Turn ambiguous ideas into buildable product
  • Take a one-liner request and turn it into a fully scoped, unambiguous spec that engineers can execute immediately
  • Own your surface's priorities
  • Translate field learnings and business goals into prioritized, high-ROI product initiatives that advance Chariot's mission of simplifying charitable payments
  • Move fast on the riskiest assumption
  • Form the hypothesis, find the cheapest way to test it, define the metric, and track it
  • Increase engineering velocity through clarity and focus
  • Define clear product requirements, reduce ambiguity, and streamline cross-functional communication so engineering can move faster with fewer blockers and higher-quality output
  • Navigate product development with live clients
  • Successfully onboard clients while the product is actively being built, gathering critical feedback while maintaining client confidence and satisfaction
