About The Position

The Senior Product Manager is a pivotal role at Bentley, responsible for driving the success of one or more products within our portfolio, ensuring they deliver meaningful and measurable value to users, in alignment with the company’s strategic objectives and business goals. The Senior Product Manager leads the development of a product by aligning all involved stakeholder functions and teams around a clearly articulated vision for the product, a strategic roadmap to achieve it, and the frameworks and practices that will allow the teams to build the right product for the users and to monitor its usage and performance on the market. The Senior Product Manager is strongly connected to the industry in which the product operates and the competitive landscape, allowing them to always stay focused on customer needs and recent industry developments, thereby enabling them to guide the team in the right direction. To succeed in this role, a potential candidate will have significant experience managing complex technological products, take an outward facing approach to develop an intimate knowledge of the industry and users, and have strong leadership and communication skills. Possessing a growth mindset, innate curiosity, impact orientation and a motivation to solve complex problems will be key traits required for success in this role.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in software product management.
  • PM experience with AI-enhanced products including generative AI is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing or closely related field is highly desirable.
  • Ability to combine overall product strategy, key customer input, and broad market and community feedback with a detailed, executable product plan.
  • Demonstrable experience leading product teams to complete all stages of the product lifecycle, either for complete products or major features.
  • Knowledge of product management practices and frameworks that can be applied to different situations and phases of the product lifecycle.
  • Deep experience partnering with disciplines like engineering, product design, UX, marketing, sales, and support identifying, defining, delivering, and operating a successful product.
  • Ability to lead by influence, ensuring that every team has what they need to stay aligned and pushing forward.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of discussing complex concepts and strategies with different audiences, from development teams all the way to executive sponsors.
  • Good understanding of the business and financial aspects of products.
  • A growth mindset approach, actively seeking feedback and learning opportunities to overcome challenges and continue developing.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end product lifecycle, from initial discovery to production, and beyond
  • Develop and maintain a vision, strategy and roadmap for the product as the critical foundations to ensure that all stakeholders have a common understanding of the path forward.
  • Use the right market research and user discovery techniques to define the right product to build, and validate the approach to implementation through prototypes and user testing
  • Maintain product direction and priorities aligned with the broader business goals.
  • Work in close collaboration with all team members, supporting their work by creating clarity, helping with prioritization and removing roadblocks.
  • Make sure that alignment of all teams stays strong by conveying current development status, objectives and connection to product roadmap and overall company strategy.
  • Work with the team to make sure that product backlog is visible, clear and up to date.
  • Partner closely with Marketing, Sales, Technical Support and other stakeholder groups to ensure that products are launched seamlessly and have ongoing support.
  • Actively seek feedback from teams and stakeholders as a way to enrich teamwork and solid product strategy.
  • Use monitoring and tracking tools to understand how the product performs on the market and how users get value from it.
  • Keep an eye on the industry and its influence in the development of the product. Be ready to steer or pivot as necessary.
  • At all times, champion and foster a culture of user-centricity, collaboration and growth mindset across all teams and stakeholders involved in the development and running of the product.
