About The Position

Grafana Labs is a remote-first, open-source powerhouse with over 20 million users globally. We help over 3,000 companies manage their observability strategies with the Grafana LGTM Stack. We are scaling fast and value a global collaborative culture, transparency, autonomy, and trust. This is a fully remote position, and we are considering candidates in Canada EST. As a Product Manager at Grafana Labs, you will develop a vision and strategy for your product domain, own the product roadmap, collateral, and market research, and collaborate with leadership on product goals. You will be the primary advocate and expert, communicating effectively with external customers and internal stakeholders in a 100% remote, globally distributed environment. Product Managers act as a bridge between Engineering, Design, and UX to GTM, ensuring information flows freely and maintaining technical proficiency.

Requirements

A BS/BA in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent work experience
7+ years of experience in Product Management
5+ years of experience in a B2B SaaS product
Experience using or building developer-facing tools, APIs, or platform services
Ability to discuss APIs, data models, schema evolution, and distributed systems concepts
Experience driving adoption of shared services or platform capabilities across multiple product teams
Experience working with Engineering and Design teams build delightful products and features – with sounds UX – in a fast-paced environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders

Nice To Haves

Experience with open source software and/or commercial open source companies
Experience using or building observability products and/or developer tools, either internally as an SRE or for external customers
Proficient with infrastructure concepts and components – like Kubernetes, Cloud Service Providers, and VMs – and able to articulate these models in human-readable terms
Experience with AI tools

Responsibilities

Develop a vision and strategy for your product domain.
Own your product’s roadmap, collateral, and market research.
Collaborate with Grafana leadership on fine-tuning your product’s goals.
Be the primary advocate and expert in your area, with a strong ability to communicate needs, functionality, and details effectively both to external customers and internal stakeholders.
Define how customers write, run, and act on performance tests across the software delivery lifecycle.
Define how test results integrate with Grafana Cloud's metrics, logs, and traces.
Evolve performance testing across modalities such as protocol, browser, and mobile.
Work across R&D to ensure Performance Testing is tightly woven into the broader Grafana Cloud suite.
Transform ideas and feedback into a product vision and roadmap.
Empathize with customer problems in order to collect user needs, requirements, and pain points.
Curate and properly represent user feedback to Engineering, while providing evidence to support tradeoffs and priorities.
Work closely with PMM to enable GTM on product differentiation, including creating and updating presentations, documentation, website content, datasheets, and whitepapers.
Use your deep product expertise to make decisions about our go-to-market strategies, pricing, packaging, licensing and tiering.
