About The Position

As a Senior Product Manager at Very Good Ventures, you will be responsible for how we strategically engage with our clients, guiding the creation of meaningful, impactful products and business outcomes, and ensuring that we deliver client success, client satisfaction and world-class user experiences. You will bring to the table a wealth of experience with different Product Management and strategic frameworks and methodologies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product strategy, prioritize product requirements, and lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle, all while aligning with our clients' business goals and growth. We are looking for a self-motivated and influential individual who can operate with a high degree of autonomy while working effectively to build strong relationships and help drive both delivery outcomes and ongoing commercial success. As a Senior Product Manager, you will be an integral part of our organization, shaping and defining the success of the product management discipline and sharing accountability of client success through account management and growth. This position requires a flexible mindset, strong leadership and communication skills, and a deep understanding of business, strategy, design, and technology. This is an onsite role based at our client's Philadelphia office. Candidates must be located in the Philadelphia area or within a 90-minute commute, or be willing to relocate prior to their start date. Additionally, Very Good Ventures is an AI-forward company where you will be given professional access to frontier AI tools, such as (but not limited to) Claude Cowork and Claude Code. All VGV employees are expected to embrace AI tooling, leverage it in their professional delivery, and to build and expand upon VGV’s internal AI skills, frameworks and IP across disciplines.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of direct product management experience.
  • Extensive experience in building products across diverse industries.
  • Proven zero to one product launch experience.
  • Technical literacy in software development concepts and familiarity with modern development frameworks to facilitate productive engineering partnerships
  • Solid experience with Agile methodologies and common product management tools like JIRA, Linear, and GitHub.
  • Ability to manage discussions concerning API endpoints and SDK integration
  • Ability to lead clients engagement confidently and autonomously.
  • Ability to work in ambiguous environments while delivering successful outcomes.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working with analytics tools such as Google Analytics, MixPanel, Sentry, or Datadog.
  • Experience leveraging AI or automation tools to improve processes and reporting.
  • Must be able to work onsite at our client's Philadelphia office. Candidates must live in the Philadelphia area, within a 90-minute commute, or be willing to relocate prior to their start date.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, define, and communicate a clear product strategy aligned with overall business objectives, considering market trends, customer and business needs, and the competitive landscape. This includes activities such as initial discovery, market and user research, business model development and product market fit, as well as more tangible deliverables such as product roadmaps, epics and backlog creation.
  • Foster and build client relationships through successful product delivery, proactive client relationship management, and proactive identification of product and commercial growth opportunities.
  • Identify and document product requirements that emerge from the product strategy, client conversations and business objectives, customer needs and product roadmap.
  • Collaborate with your team to create a comprehensive product roadmap, outlining key milestones, releases, and dependencies to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Prioritize product features and requirements using established frameworks and tools.
  • Lead and participate in Sprint ceremonies.
  • Creation of a product data and analytics strategy, definition of product success metrics that can drive data-informed feature optimization and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate project strategy and execution.
  • Championing a user-centric approach, ensuring the design and functionality of projects contribute to a positive user experience.
  • Actively use and contribute to VGV AI tooling for the Product Management discipline as well as the company as a whole.
