About The Position

Workday is seeking a Senior Product Manager for the Intelligent Experience Platform (IXP) team. This role is crucial for shaping the future of Workday's platform, focusing on core capabilities like the Tasks Framework and other content and communication services. The position involves balancing the modernization of existing systems with the development of an agent-ready foundation for Workday's future vision. The Senior Product Manager will translate complex technical work into clear business value and define what "agent-ready" means for the enterprise. The IXP team builds technology that powers a unified, intelligent, and seamless user experience across the Workday ecosystem, delivering foundational layers for all Workday applications and agents.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in product management, defining, launching, and iterating on impactful SaaS and/or cloud-based enterprise software products.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline such as Business, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience leading cross-team collaboration, effectively working with and influencing engineering, design, and product leadership to define and deliver complex product features and platform strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive business influence across product teams and with senior partners, building alignment and support for product initiatives through compelling business cases and cross-organizational relationships.
  • Customer advocacy. You deeply understand and represent customer needs in product strategy and decisions. You drive customer-centricity throughout the product lifecycle by synthesizing diverse feedback, engaging with customer-facing teams, and ensuring the platform delivers meaningful outcomes for the people who use it.
  • Customer empathy. You proactively seek to understand customer pain points and translate them into impactful product solutions and improved user experiences. You go beyond surface-level feedback to uncover underlying needs and use those insights to shape product direction.
  • Data analysis. You are comfortable working with usage data, system telemetry, and analytical tools to derive actionable insights for product strategy and prioritization. You measure success with evidence and communicate data-driven recommendations clearly to partners and leadership.
  • Decision making in complex environments. You are skilled at making deliberate product and technical trade-offs, balancing user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility. You apply structured decision-making frameworks, assess risk, and communicate decisions with clear rationale - especially when navigating competing priorities with long-term implications.
  • Domain knowledge. You have a deep understanding of the enterprise platform and SaaS landscape, including relevant trends, the broader market, user behavior, and emerging technologies that shape the future of intelligent, agent-ready experiences.
  • Research-informed product thinking. You lead research efforts to inform product strategy, identify opportunities, and understand user behavior, using a variety of qualitative and quantitative methods to build conviction behind your roadmap decisions.
  • Stakeholder management at scale. You can articulate the value of platform and infrastructure investments to diverse audiences. You have experience managing a wide range of partners with competing needs - including high-priority application teams, enterprise customers, and executive sponsors funding multi-release investments. You manage expectations with transparency and maintain trust across the organization.
  • Developing strategic perspective. You contribute to and help shape the long-term vision and direction of the product portfolio. You identify potential opportunities through market analysis, scenario planning, and a deep understanding of how platform investments create compounding value across the enterprise.
  • Clear communication. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt your style for technical and non-technical audiences alike. You manage expectations and maintain trust even when platform priorities require saying "not yet" to one partner while accelerating another.

Responsibilities

  • Owning the roadmap for core platform capabilities across one or more IXP products (Tasks Framework, My Tasks, others) in close partnership with engineering leads and architects.
  • Leading the migration from legacy systems to modern services including API-accessible platforms built for both human and agentic consumption.
  • Making the business case for emerging opportunities, translating technical investments into clear value for executive partners.
  • Representing the platform to partner teams across Workday, and negotiating requirements to deliver the most value aligned with the product strategy.
  • Using data to drive decisions - analyzing usage and telemetry to measure results, evaluate investment impact, and inform prioritization.
