Senior Product Manager

PlanitarWaterloo, ON
CA$124,000 - CA$162,000Hybrid

About The Position

At Planitar, we build technology that helps people see and understand the world’s spaces more clearly. We are the creators of iGUIDE, a powerful property technology solution that combines immersive 3D tours, accurate floor plans and reliable spatial data into a single, easy-to-use system. Our cameras and software platform are used by professionals in real estate, insurance, construction and property management to simplify their work and deliver better results. Planitar recently joined REA Group, one of the world’s leading digital property companies. REA operates Australia’s largest residential and commercial property platforms, including realestate.com.au and has a growing global footprint across Asia and North America. Together, we are shaping the future of property technology, combining Planitar’s deep spatial data expertise with REA’s global scale and innovation engine. We work in a hybrid environment headquartered in Waterloo, Ontario and are growing quickly as we expand our impact worldwide. A connected future where reliable spatial data enables informed decisions across the property lifecycle. We believe that accurate, accessible spatial data has the power to transform how people buy, sell, insure, build and manage property. Our values guide how we work, build and grow together. Integrity: We do the right thing, even when it’s hard. Teamwork: We are one team, on a big mission. Innovation: We value creative solutions for emerging opportunities. Accountability: We honour our commitments. This Senior Product Manager will own the roadmap for evolving our products to serve customers in both our Architecture, Engineering & Construction (AEC) and Insurance, Restoration, Claims (IRC) industries. These are areas where iGUIDE is growing fast but there is still significant work to shape what our product becomes. Your product area will work in concert with our capture hardware so you’ll partner closely with our capture team without owning the hardware roadmap yourself. We believe in product development grounded in efficient customer discovery and collaborative solutioning. Your job is to ensure that the product investments we make deliver continuous customer value, aligned with both product strategy and business goals. We expect PMs to use AI tools to compress discovery: mocking up concepts, synthesizing research and getting evidence from customers faster than traditional cycles allow. This position is based in our Kitchener-Waterloo office on a hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 days remote). You’ll collaborate with engineering, design, hardware, and go-to-market teams across iGUIDE, with periodic touchpoints with our REA Group colleagues globally. Background in metrology, spatial data, or measurement technology is an asset.

Requirements

  • A few years of product management experience shipping software. We’re less concerned about how long you’ve held the PM title and more interested in whether you’ve shipped real products to real customers and learned from what happened next.
  • Curiosity about customers and comfort getting close to them. You ask good questions, you sit with ambiguity and you don’t jump to solutions.
  • Clear thinking under uncertainty. You can take incomplete information, make a reasoned call, and stay open when new evidence points elsewhere.
  • Commercial awareness. You think about how product decisions affect revenue, margin and growth, not just user experience.
  • Strong communication with both technical and non-technical people. You can talk to engineers about implementation tradeoffs and to executives about strategy without losing either audience.
  • Willingness to challenge the status quo when it needs challenging, and to do it with care.
  • Daily fluency with AI tools for research, analysis and prototyping. You use them to compress discovery loops and get evidence faster – not as a shortcut around the collaborative work of building the right thing with engineering and design.
  • Bias to action. Comfortable making decisions without all the data while staying open to disconfirming evidence.

Nice To Haves

  • Background or interest in spatial data, measurement, real estate, insurance, or construction technology is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Build an understanding of how AEC and IRC customers work and what they need from iGUIDE
  • Run ongoing customer discovery to identify the right problems, validate assumptions and learn what’s working after things ship
  • Shape product strategy for your portfolio and connect it to broader iGUIDE and REA Group ambitions
  • Make decisions about what’s worth building, what isn’t, and what to stop doing
  • Partner with Product peers and leadership to shape roadmaps that balance near-term customer wins with long-term portfolio bets
  • Partner with sales, customer success, drafting operations and product marketing to bring solutions to market
  • Coordinate with the capture team where customer workflows span hardware and software
  • Spot adjacent opportunities – new use cases, segments or product lines – and make the case for pursuing them.
  • Monitor usage and outcomes post-launch and make confident calls on what to double down on, fix, or kill

Benefits

  • 100% employer-paid flexible benefits plan
  • Comprehensive Health & Dental coverage
  • 3% RRSP/DPSP Match
  • Health Spending Account (HSA) or Lifestyle Spending Account (LSA) options
