About The Position
Seso is modernizing the back-office for American farms, which have historically relied on outdated systems like spreadsheets and filing cabinets. The company's mission is to build the premier platform for agribusiness to hire and manage their workforce, thereby improving the lives of agricultural workers. Seso addresses the critical issue of labor access for American farmers through a software-enabled solution that automates the H-2A visa process. Their comprehensive HR platform streamlines recruitment, onboarding, payroll, and insurance, and also provides workers with access to financial services. This role focuses on new initiatives for Seso's HR Platform, which serves as the employer's employee system of record, automating workflows for collecting employee information, onboarding, and managing the employee lifecycle. The position offers significant autonomy and ownership, with the team regularly shipping software that improves the lives of customers and farmworkers, and involves frequent customer interaction across the country.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a product manager
- Structured problem-solver with an interest in improving the lives of agricultural farmworkers and the viability of the agriculture industry
- Interested in autonomously owning a roadmap
- Likes talking to customers and can quickly build credibility and trust
- Strong track record of delivering key business results
- Can travel 25% of the time
Responsibilities
- Owning and delivering on company-level business objectives
- Working closely with design, engineering, and revenue stakeholders to define a cohesive product strategy and roadmap
- Translating ambiguous or complex ideas into clear, executable projects
- Spending time to deeply understand and elevate the voices of our users
- Combining qualitative research with quantitative analysis to inform product decisions
- Owning and driving the product lifecycle from ideation through implementation and launch
