Senior Product Manager

HomeboundSanta Rosa, CA
$130,000 - $175,000

About The Position

Homebound is seeking a Senior Product Manager to accelerate home construction through technology. This role involves owning critical parts of the platform, including systems for pricing, scheduling, cost management, trade partner coordination, and decision-making information for teams. The focus will be on improving operational outcomes such as cycle time, cost accuracy, margin, and throughput, with an emphasis on leveraging AI and machine learning in product design. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with complex financial and operational data, driving product development from concept to adoption, and collaborating across various departments.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience, including ownership of a complex, technical product.
  • Exceptional analytical rigor and comfort with messy, high-stakes data; ability to write own queries, build own models, and reconcile numbers.
  • Experience with financial or operational data products (cost, pricing, margin, budgeting, forecasting, supply chain, scheduling) where accuracy is non-negotiable.
  • Genuine detail orientation; ability to catch discrepancies and sweat edge cases.
  • A metrics-driven operating style: define success quantitatively, instrument it, and hold yourself to it.
  • Strong technical fluency; comfortable operating alongside engineers and ML teams as peers, reasoning through system tradeoffs, and reading evaluations.
  • An AI-first instinct in product design; ability to identify problems AI genuinely solves versus where it adds risk.
  • Breadth and adaptability: a track record of owning multiple product areas or stepping into new domains quickly.
  • 0 to 1 product building experience: taking a product from concept through launch to adoption.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • A self-starter who thrives in ambiguity, moves quickly, and drives outcomes cross-functionally without a playbook.

Nice To Haves

  • Interest in construction and the built environment.
  • Ability to learn the domain rapidly.

Responsibilities

  • Own a portfolio end-to-end, setting strategy, defining the roadmap, and driving execution from concept through rollout and adoption.
  • Take on new squads and problem spaces as the business needs them, ramping quickly on unfamiliar domains.
  • Build products on top of complex financial and operational data with the required rigor.
  • Integrate AI into every feature, considering what the system can predict, decide, draft, or remove.
  • Define product with precision, writing clear requirements and thinking through edge cases.
  • Measure what matters by defining success metrics, instrumenting them, and running experiments.
  • Drive initiatives forward independently across Construction Operations, Finance, Sales, Design, and Engineering.
  • Translate between operators, technical teams, and executive leadership.
