About The Position

Geotab is seeking a Senior Product Manager who will oversee product development from conception to launch across multiple products or segments and is responsible for discovering, developing, and cultivating new products and ongoing product enhancements that support Geotab’s business models and continued growth. This role is for an existing vacancy and is a full-time permanent position.

Requirements

  • 5 - 8 years of required previous experience in product management and/or customer discovery.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; specialization in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, or a related field is highly valued.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, featuring strong presentation capabilities and a good listening, empathetic approach when interacting with customers.
  • Demonstrated experience and strong understanding of user engagement metrics and product KPIs to drive data-informed decision-making and enhance product performance.
  • Self-starter and resourceful team player with a strategic mindset, keen sense of priorities, and a well-defined sense of diplomacy (negotiation, conflict resolution, and relationship management).
  • Comfort utilizing Agile planning methods and practices, combined with the flexibility to adapt to growing technology and market demands.
  • Must have a reliable internet connection with at least 50mb DL/10mb UL when working from home.
  • Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

  • Building customer intelligence by identifying which ideas and opportunities should be promoted into features to advance product strategy.
  • Working closely with UX designers, developers, data scientists, senior leadership, and external customers.
  • Understanding the infrastructure needed to support the growth of existing and new revenue streams within Geotab, the associated market, and how customers can benefit from telematics solutions to improve their business.
  • Owning the development of a comprehensive product roadmap, ensuring alignment across internal stakeholders while driving the execution of strategic initiatives that support long-term business objectives.
  • Leading high-impact customer discovery initiatives and mentoring other team members in conducting interviews to refine value propositions and product fit.
  • Driving prioritization at a portfolio level, aligning efforts with overall business and product strategy.
  • Establishing advanced reporting and monitoring frameworks that measure success (both qualitative and quantitative) across multiple product dimensions.
  • Designing and implementing feedback loops at scale, ensuring continuous alignment with market needs.
  • Ensuring company-wide understanding of product efforts, regularly communicating the Why at senior leadership forums and cross-departmental meetings.
  • Leading complex problem and solution validation, ensuring strategic alignment and providing direction on critical solutions.
  • Overseeing the translation of needs into detailed epics and initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall product strategy.
  • Working closely with technical project managers toward execution.
  • Collecting and analyzing feedback from customers, stakeholders and internal teams to continuously make improvements to products that are launched.
  • Leading efforts to enhance product management frameworks, mentoring other product managers and contributing to company-wide initiatives.
