Requirements

  • 8+ years of product management experience, with a significant portion focused on KYC, identity verification, fraud detection, or risk decisioning in FinTech, RegTech, Payments, or Financial Services.
  • Deep domain expertise in KYC fraud — including synthetic identity fraud, document fraud, account takeover, and consumer onboarding risk — with a clear understanding of how these differ from KYB risk and compliance workflows.
  • Hands-on experience working with ML and Data Science teams: defining model requirements, interpreting model outputs, managing feedback loops, and translating model insights into product features.
  • Proven track record of owning a product roadmap end-to-end, shipping impactful products in agile environments, and influencing without authority across cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to structure ambiguous problems, make defensible recommendations, and break them into deliverable increments.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to distill complex technical or regulatory topics into crisp narratives for diverse audiences.
  • Experience working with third-party data providers such as credit bureaus, identity data networks, or risk data vendors.
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM, Business, or related field — or equivalent practical experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with AML/BSA compliance frameworks, adverse media screening, PEPs/sanctions data, or regulatory reporting.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML Ops practices, LLMs, or agentic AI systems applied to fraud detection or identity workflows.
  • Prior experience integrating fraud APIs, risk orchestration platforms, or decisioning engines (e.g., case management, rules engines).
  • Exposure to global identity data ecosystems across multiple regions (North America, Europe, APAC) and their regulatory nuances.
  • An active network within the identity verification or fraud prevention industry.

Responsibilities

  • Own and continuously evolve the multi-quarter product roadmap for KYC fraud and risk solutions, balancing customer urgency, business value, and technical feasibility.
  • Define product vision aligned with Trulioo's broader platform strategy, contributing to internal roadmap communications and external partner/customer conversations.
  • Conduct rigorous market evaluations and competitive analyses to recommend build, partner, or buy decisions with clear rationale.
  • Identify and seize whitespace opportunities in consumer identity fraud, KYC compliance, and risk decisioning — bringing forward new product bets that could materially expand Trulioo's addressable market.
  • Serve as the primary voice of the customer, regularly conducting discovery interviews with enterprise clients across financial services, fintech, payments, and regulated industries.
  • Collect and synthesize qualitative and quantitative feedback to surface unmet needs, validate hypotheses, and inform prioritization decisions.
  • Partner with Sales and Business Development to engage prospects early in the sales cycle, representing the product and gathering signals on market demands.
  • Monitor product performance metrics, client feedback loops, and support escalations to drive continuous improvement post-launch.
  • Lead cross-functional squads — Engineering, Data Science, Design, Legal, and Compliance — to deliver fraud and risk capabilities within expected timelines using agile methodologies.
  • Partner closely with ML and Data Science teams to identify predictive signals, validate model performance, define feedback loops, and deliver explainable risk scores that drive adoption.
  • Decompose complex product problems into incremental delivery milestones, managing trade-offs transparently with stakeholders.
