Senior Product Manager, Go

Superhuman•San Francisco, CA
•$206,000 - $258,000•Hybrid

About The Position

Superhuman is hiring a Senior Product Manager to define and build the future of Go, its proactive AI assistant. Depending on the candidate’s strengths and team needs, the role may focus on the core Go experience—including chat, orchestration, memory, rich interactions, and experiences across web, desktop, and mobile—or on the platform that enables people and developers to create, connect, publish, and distribute agents. This is a senior, hands-on product role focused on both AI product craft and complex systems. The Product Manager will address emerging product questions, including how an AI assistant chooses what to do, earns users’ trust, helps people create useful agents, and provides shared capabilities across Superhuman products and partners. Go is central to Superhuman’s product strategy, combining proactive assistance with the context, applications, and extensibility of its broader suite. The role owns the strategy and roadmap for a major area of Go, translating long-term direction into near-term priorities. It partners with cross-functional teams from early exploration through launch and iteration, defines user journeys and success measures, and helps make complex AI and platform capabilities clear and useful to everyday users and advanced builders. The position works across Superhuman Docs, Mail, Grammarly, and external partners to address real product needs and create reusable value. The work is hybrid, combining focus time with in-person collaboration.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of product management experience, with a track record of owning complex products from discovery through launch and iteration.
  • Experience building AI-powered, consumer, prosumer, developer-platform, or technically sophisticated products.
  • Strong product judgment and ability to turn emerging technical capabilities into intuitive experiences that solve meaningful user problems.
  • Comfort working closely with engineers on architecture, APIs, reliability, permissions, privacy, security, and other technical tradeoffs.
  • Experience shipping products or platforms spanning multiple teams, user journeys, or surfaces.
  • Analytical rigor and comfort defining metrics, interpreting imperfect data, running experiments, and balancing evidence with product intuition.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, particularly in ambiguous situations or difficult prioritization discussions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and take cross-functional problems from initial insight to shipped product with limited oversight.
  • Understanding of current AI systems’ potential and limitations, including designing for trust, evaluation, failure recovery, and appropriate user control.
  • Ability to make complicated capabilities clear and intuitive, and to address points where users become confused, lose trust, or fail to discover value.
  • Ability to design for immediate customer experiences while building foundations that serve multiple products, teams, surfaces, and partners.
  • Ability to form a clear point of view from incomplete information, identify important questions, and translate strategy into an executable roadmap.
  • Ability to build trust across engineering, design, data, research, and go-to-market teams and influence through clear reasoning and shared outcomes.
  • Ability to take initiative, be accountable for outcomes, adjust plans when necessary, collaborate effectively, and thrive in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

  • Own the strategy and roadmap for a major area of Superhuman Go, connecting long-term direction to focused near-term priorities.
  • Develop a deep understanding of how knowledge workers use AI, where existing assistants fall short, and which workflows Go can improve.
  • Partner with engineering, design, research, data science, and go-to-market teams to take ambiguous problems from exploration through launch and iteration.
  • Define high-quality user journeys across chat, orchestration, memory, agents, connectors, file handling, background work, and cross-device experiences.
  • Translate complex AI and platform capabilities into clear, trustworthy, useful experiences for everyday users and advanced builders.
  • Establish success measures and use qualitative and quantitative evidence to prioritize investments and assess product quality.
  • Work across Superhuman Docs, Mail, Grammarly, and external partners to ensure Go’s platform addresses real product needs and creates reusable value across the suite.
  • Create clarity across interconnected teams by documenting decisions, communicating tradeoffs, and maintaining momentum when ownership or direction is unclear.
  • Work independently with minimal guidance, proactively manage priorities across multiple projects, and take cross-functional problems from initial insight to shipped product.
  • Embed AI into daily workflows, rituals, and decision-making to raise speed, quality, and customer impact.
