About The Position

Growth Acceleration Partners (GAP) is a consulting and technology services company specializing in revenue-generating software and data engineering solutions. GAPVelocity AI is the AI-first modernization business unit of GAP. This unit focuses on transforming legacy applications using a Hybrid AI architecture to provide enterprises with a competitive advantage. The market for enterprise AI modernization is growing rapidly, and GAPVelocity AI is positioned to address this demand with its unique architecture. The company is looking to scale this business unit and is seeking individuals who can make a significant impact. As the Product Owner for GAPVelocity AI, you will be instrumental in translating the AI modernization vision into tangible product capabilities. This role involves owning the product backlog, defining user stories based on customer and market needs, and collaborating closely with the Engineering team to execute the VELO roadmap. The ideal candidate will excel at navigating the complexities of legacy modernization, AI workflows, enterprise software requirements, and practical delivery, focusing on hands-on product ownership rather than high-level strategy.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Technical Product Manager, Business Analyst, or similar role in B2B SaaS, enterprise software, developer tools, cloud, AI, or technology services.
  • Hands-on experience managing a product backlog, writing user stories and acceptance criteria, supporting sprint planning, and making tough priority calls.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into clear product requirements and explain product value to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with enterprise software expectations such as SSO, security, compliance, auditability, reliability, scalability, and procurement realities.
  • Strong interest in AI product workflows, especially agentic AI, deterministic vs. generative AI trade-offs, validation, traceability, and trustworthy automation.
  • Understanding of application modernization concepts - for example, legacy systems, source-to-target migration, .NET, Blazor, Azure, PowerBuilder, VB6, Access, WebForms, or WinForms.
  • Excellent communication skills and the judgment to separate real customer signal from one-off requests disguised as strategy.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Delivery, and executive stakeholders.
  • Entrepreneurial drive, accountability, and adaptability in a rapidly evolving environment.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

  • Own and prioritize the product backlog, translating roadmap priorities into clear epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, release goals, and sprint-ready work for the engineering team.
  • Bridge customer pain and product execution by capturing input from customers, prospects, Sales, Solution Architects, Delivery, Marketing, and leadership, and translating it into clear, testable product requirements tied to business value.
  • Drive VELO platform delivery by partnering with Engineering to deliver capabilities across AI-assisted modernization workflows, including assessment, analysis, transformation, validation, reporting, and user experience.
  • Support enterprise readiness by prioritizing product requirements for security, SSO, auditability, compliance, scalability, reliability, and other enterprise-grade expectations.
  • Make AI outputs verifiable by working with technical leaders to define product requirements that reduce risk in AI-generated code, including deterministic guardrails, validation workflows, human-in-the-loop review, traceability, and measurable quality signals.
  • Balance self-service and high-touch enterprise needs by helping shape product experiences that can support lower-touch adoption while meeting the realities of complex enterprise modernization programs.
  • Partner on go-to-market readiness by supporting demos, launch planning, product messaging, enablement materials, roadmap conversations, and feedback loops for Sales and Marketing.
  • Measure product outcomes by defining and tracking adoption, usage, release, quality, and modernization outcome metrics that demonstrate VELO's customer and business value.
