About The Position

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Senior Product Manager-Technical to join their CloudFront and Global Accelerator team. This role is based in Seattle, WA or San Francisco, CA. The team is responsible for Amazon CloudFront and AWS Global Accelerator, services that provide massive scale, security, and performance for demanding applications. The infrastructure spans hundreds of points of presence globally, serving as the front door for significant internet workloads. The ideal candidate is passionate about solving customer problems, has a track record of turning ambiguous customer needs into successful products, and is excited about building deeply technical products at the intersection of networking, security, and distributed systems. This role involves driving AWS edge capabilities, working across the full product lifecycle, and collaborating in a fast-paced, analytical environment with highly technical cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of technical product management with internet business experience
• 5+ years of working as a Technical Product Manager experience
• 3+ years of technical (software development, network development, IT, other related) experience
• 7+ years of full product life cycle experience
• 5+ years of P&L management and pricing experience
• 5+ years of creating written docs for development of new products experience
• 5+ years of enterprise security product experience
• 5+ years of product management in the cloud computing technology space experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, finance, or economics
• Experience in taking a product from conception & definition phase through engineering design and taking it to market
• Experience delivering large-scale SaaS, PaaS or IaaS products where you are responsible for the full product lifecycle, from concept through GTM (go to market)

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
• Experience working within teams delivering software products and features using agile methodologies

Responsibilities

• Understand technology and customer trends in networking, security, and edge computing to identify forward-looking strategies that drive business growth.
• Engage directly with customers to understand their needs and learn what can be built to enable and delight them.
• Own all aspects of your product portfolio including strategy, feature roadmap, user experience, pricing, and growth for different customer segments.
• Author documents relating to product lifecycle including product roadmap, business requirements, and functional specifications.
• Drive product development across teams (primarily Engineering, Operations, Product Management, Business Development, and Marketing) through business requirements, design, implementation, and deployment.
• Define pricing, positioning, and go-to-market strategies to drive product growth.
• Evaluate industry innovations and technology platforms and identify partnership and collaboration opportunities.
• Prototype new features and experiences.
