We do this by obsessing over the employee and customer experience, and driving a global strategy that sets the bar. The Retail Technology China team is responsible for the end-to-end digital app and hardware experience in Apple Retail China stores, including all aspects of the customer and employee experience. As a Senior Product Manager in the Retail Technology team, you will be a part of a diverse and supportive team that ensures our technology fulfills Apple’s vision of enabling employees to deliver the best retail experience in the world to our customers across China. This work sits across the full Retail Technology portfolio including but not limited to demo capabilities and/or apps, product discovery and pricing experiences, customer self-led end to end journeys including checkout, purchase and fulfillment experiences, ways to buy and services offering experiences, post-purchase experiences including Genius Bar and repair services, and back of house experiences (e.g., inventory management, reporting, leadership operations). The role is highly cross functional and requires deep collaboration across Apple and the China market.

Requirements

• 7+ years of dedicated Product Management experience delivering software and/or hardware experiences in a retail, e-commerce, or consumer organization, with a proven track record of owning and delivering product roadmaps and features from ideation to launch and ongoing support, including but not limited to problem framing, success criteria definition, journey mapping, concept creation, prototyping, requirements documentation, backlog management, test strategy and execution, delivery, and ongoing health management.
• Proven ability to manage and deliver multiple complex, large-scale, global projects and programs across a wide portfolio of software and hardware concurrently
• Experience using AI throughout the software and/or hardware development lifecycle and project/program management systems
• Experience with Apple hardware and operating systems
• Fluent in Mandarin and English
• Experience delivering software and/or hardware experiences in China for a retail, e-commerce, or consumer organization
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of an organization
• Proven ability to bring clarity to ambiguity and lead without direct authority
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Business Administration (MBA) or a related field

Responsibilities

• Develop the product strategy and delivery approach that represents the interests of business and technology through the design, development, and deployment of technology and systems, ensuring proper data treatment in China.
• Ensure coordination of funding, release schedules, communicate status, issue resolution, resource alignment, and quality standards are met.
• Collaborate with business partners and engineering teams to identify, mobilize, and execute solutions leading to design reviews, feature prioritization, and negotiating features to meet release schedules.
• Create artifacts throughout the product delivery cycle from ideation to delivery go live and post production health.
• Be in the details, understand the business problem or opportunity to solve, understand the technology stack and its integrations, services, APIs, and future roadmaps to ensure scalable and future proof experiences
• Ensure all project documentation is accurate and prepared appropriately for the audience, varying from status reports, risk and mitigation plans, decision logs, bug tracking, meeting notes and action items, executive presentations, and others as directed by leadership.
