As a leader in the Growth function for Global Strategic Accounts (GSA), this individual contributor role is crucial for driving the adoption of PayPal's proprietary checkout solutions, including PayPal Checkout, Pay with Venmo, and associated features, for merchants through strategic 1:1 engagement and partnerships.

Requirements

  • 3+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Payments Industry or eCommerce Expertise: 3 to 5 years of experience in consumer payments or eCommerce, particularly with checkout optimization.
  • Business-to-Business Sales and Relationship Building: Demonstrated experience of 3+ years in business-to-business pre-sales, solution consulting, business development or account management.
  • Partner Relationship Development: Proven track record in identifying, developing, and contracting partner relationships within an enterprise context.
  • Enterprise Merchant or Marketplace Expertise: Hands-on experience working with the processing and payout needs of enterprise merchants or marketplaces.
  • Leadership skills: Demonstrated success building teams and effectively leading cross-functional organizations.
  • Effective Communication Skills: Adaptable and eloquent communicator with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at various levels, including product teams, engineering teams, and clients.
  • B2B and Product Software Proficiency: Experience with B2B and product software tools, including but not limited to PowerPoint, Salesforce, Jira, and SharePoint.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as a buyer of payment services is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Uses data to build insights on product or platform requirements consistent with the shared vision for the product.
  • Gathers insights from the customer experience and customer needs to input to product requirements
  • Analyzes research, market analysis and usability studies, research and market analysis to support data-driven decision making
  • Monitors product profitability measures, including budget.
  • Lead sprint planning, daily standups and retrospectives to drive execution.
  • Interfaces with product and technology leadership as needed.
  • Partners with content developers, data scientists, product designers and user experience researchers to identify new opportunities.
