About The Position

Tabs is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the Pricing domain, a critical and rapidly evolving area of their AI Operating System for Revenue. This role involves defining the vision, data model, and roadmap for how Tabs handles usage, rating, and pricing. The Product Manager will be responsible for aggregating usage, calculating costs against commitments and overages, and establishing price books and rate cards. A key aspect of this role is shaping technical architecture decisions and translating complex real-world pricing scenarios into a flexible and manageable data model. The position also includes leveraging AI/LLM for contract parsing, owning usage aggregation and commitment models, and providing customer visibility into pricing and charges.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in fintech, B2B SaaS, or platform/infrastructure products.
  • Experience owning a data model or product layer that many downstream workflows depend on.
  • Strong technical fluency; comfortable reasoning about data modeling and architecture tradeoffs with engineers.
  • Experience owning a public or developer-facing API as a product surface (versioning, rate limits, documentation).
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and bringing structure to evolving problem spaces.
  • Exceptional cross-functional operator capable of aligning technical and non-technical stakeholders, including engineering leadership and executives.
  • Thrives in fast-moving, high-growth environments where scope and priorities evolve.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with billing, revenue recognition, or the contract-to-cash lifecycle.
  • Experience with usage-based billing/pricing infrastructure (e.g., at a billing platform like Stripe, Metronome, Orb, Zuora, or Chargebee, or owning pricing/monetization at a usage-based product company).

Responsibilities

  • Establish pricing as a first-class product domain.
  • Define and own the data model for pricing, including price books/rate cards and the quantity/pricing layer for billing and revenue recognition.
  • Translate real-world pricing complexity (tiering, effective-dated changes, pass-through costs, contract-level exceptions) into a flexible data model.
  • Enable rate cards/price books to be defined once and referenced across downstream systems.
  • Utilize AI/LLM extraction to parse pricing terms from signed contract PDFs.
  • Own usage aggregation and usage commitments, including how usage is aggregated and rated against contracted amounts.
  • Own the commitment model, including drawdowns, true-ups, and overages, in partnership with engineering.
  • Deepen support for usage and AI/token-based pricing.
  • Build pricing infrastructure for third-party and usage-based pass-through costs.
  • Provide customers with visibility into pricing changes, charges, and reasons for charges.
