Job Details This role is in support of Cencora's veterinary and livestock production solutions marketed through our MWI Animal Health business. MWI Animal Health is a leading brand of Cencora, offering animal health services globally. JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the VP of Product – Companion Animal, the Senior Product Manager, Prescription & Pharmacy Operations is responsible for the Furscription product portfolio and related prescription management capabilities. This role owns roadmap development and execution in partnership with business, engineering, operations, support, and other stakeholders to enhance, scale, and evolve prescription workflows, pharmacy integrations, and fulfillment-related capabilities. The ideal candidate brings strong product management experience along with familiarity in prescription, pharmacy, healthcare, or veterinary operations. This role requires a strategic thinker who can translate business needs, customer workflows, and operational insights into clear product priorities and actionable requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, Pharmacy, Veterinary Technology, or related field
• 8+ years of product management experience in SaaS, healthcare technology, pharmacy technology, veterinary technology, or other workflow-intensive software environments.
• Experience owning or influencing roadmap, backlog, and cross-functional software delivery.
• Strong ability to translate complex workflows and stakeholder needs into clear product plans and requirements.
• Experience working closely with engineering teams in Agile, Scrum, or similar environments.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data to inform decisions.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in veterinary software, animal health, or veterinary workflows.
• Experience with prescription management, pharmacy operations, e-prescribing, or retail pharmacy fulfillment.
• Familiarity with compliance-sensitive workflows, audit trails, identity verification, or role-based permissions.
• Experience working in legacy product environments with significant operational complexity or tribal knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the product roadmap for Furscription and related prescription management capabilities.
• Partner with business, engineering, operations, support, and leadership to align priorities with strategic goals, customer needs, technical feasibility, and operational requirements.
• Translate business needs, customer feedback, and workflow insights into product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Lead product ownership for end-to-end prescription workflows, including prescribing, routing, fulfillment-related experiences, and exception handling.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver product enhancements, workflow improvements, and scalable operational solutions.
• Participate in backlog management, sprint planning, prioritization, release planning, and product reviews.
• Incorporate compliance, auditability, permissions, and workflow integrity considerations into product planning and delivery.
• Define and monitor key product, operational, and adoption metrics; use data and feedback to drive continuous improvement.
• Improve product documentation, prioritization discipline, and knowledge transfer in a legacy product environment.
