Senior Product Manager: Portal & Platform

Extra Duty Solutions,
$110,000 - $160,000

About The Position

Extra Duty Solutions runs the infrastructure that powers off-duty and extra duty programs for approximately 250 law enforcement agencies nationwide. The company is expanding aggressively with new markets, new payment rails, and a platform consolidation. This role requires a Product Manager who has a proven track record of shipping products at scale, not just planning them. This position owns the portal experience for officers, customers, and internal teams, and is central to the company's future development. The ideal candidate has driven large-scale product launches end-to-end and understands the process of bringing a market online.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in product management, with at least two years owning a platform or multi-sided product.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large-scale market launches or expansion initiatives, from go/no-go through rollout, adoption, and post-launch stabilization.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional launches across sales, ops, account management, and engineering.
  • Fluent in both front-end and back-end integration concepts; understanding of constraints is necessary even without coding.
  • Proven PRD authorship: documents that engineering trusts and stakeholders sign off on.
  • Comfort working through intermediaries (account managers, agency leads) to surface and validate user needs.
  • Deep understanding of tech-enabled services: software that supports human service delivery, not pure SaaS.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with payments, marketplace mechanics, or instant pay products.
  • Background in public safety, field services, workforce management, or similarly operationally complex domains.
  • Used gen AI tools to accelerate prototyping, spec-writing, or research synthesis.
  • Has personally managed an agency, regional, or market-expansion launch, not just contributed to one.
  • Familiarity with law enforcement agency procurement or onboarding dynamics.

Responsibilities

  • Portal consolidation, merging officer-facing and customer-facing web experiences into a cohesive, scalable platform.
  • The officer and customer product experience across web and mobile surfaces.
  • Roadmap prioritization in close partnership with engineering, ops, and account management.
  • PRD authorship: sharp, decision-ready documents that give engineering what they need to move.
  • Launch strategy and execution for new features, integrations, and market expansions.
  • The product feedback loop from account managers and agency clients to engineering.

Benefits

  • Direct influence on market entry strategies.
  • Influence on officer payment systems.
  • Opportunity to improve a platform used by tens of thousands.
  • Work with a small, senior team.
  • Decisions lead to shipped products.
