About The Position

Fundraise Up is seeking a Senior Product Manager for its New Products team. This role will lead strategic 0→1 bets end-to-end, starting with a focus on the major giving space within nonprofit fundraising. The position is part of a portfolio, not a single product, with the mandate to explore and develop new strategic bets within the broader New Products portfolio. Success will be measured by decision quality and learning speed. The company operates a global fundraising platform trusted by leading nonprofits, focusing on innovation for faster load times, higher conversion rates, global payment support, and accessibility. The product ecosystem is large and complex, serving nonprofits, donors, and partners worldwide. Fundraise Up is a distributed company with over 160 product professionals, valuing collaboration, strong engineering practices, and a product mindset, with an emphasis on quality, mentorship, and mutual respect.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in product management (or 6+ years in product plus 2+ years in an adjacent function like engineering, design, or data).
  • At least 2 years of experience in 0→1 / new product line work, not just feature optimization.
  • Proven track record of shipping a new product line or business model that did not exist before, ideally in B2B SaaS, fintech, or payments.
  • Experience conducting in-depth enterprise customer discovery, engaging with 5+ decision-makers per cycle.
  • Experience owning a revenue model, including pricing experiments, unit economics, and willingness-to-pay validation.
  • Comfortable being the single point of accountability for an initiative without an existing team.
  • AI-native: ability to build clickable prototypes, interactive demos, and lightweight validation tools using modern AI tooling, shipping testable prototypes in days. AI should be integrated into the discovery loop.
  • Comfortable joining a product portfolio rather than a single product, with the flexibility to take on the next strategic bet if the initial thesis is invalidated.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the nonprofit, philanthropy, wealth tech, or donor management space.
  • Founder or founder-adjacent experience (e.g., built and sold a company, or was a principal IC at an innovation lab).

Responsibilities

  • Sharpen the investment thesis for new product bets by translating market research and identifying missing data through primary and secondary research.
  • Maintain a central repository for the bet's thesis, decision log, and learnings.
  • Translate the thesis into validated hypotheses through working prototypes, using AI tooling to build clickable flows, interactive demos, and scripted agents for rapid iteration.
  • Validate prototypes in cycles with major donors, enterprise nonprofits (gift officers, CFOs, CRM owners), and internal teams (Sales, CSM, Partnerships).
  • Document each validation cycle with written decision memos and explicit kill criteria.
  • Own and pressure-test the revenue model, including transactional, SaaS, and hybrid pricing against willingness-to-pay evidence.
  • Build the unit economics, including take rate, ACV, gross margin, and CAC payback, and present a defensible model to leadership.
  • Partner with PMM, CSM, and Sales on positioning and pilot pricing to build the Go-To-Market (GTM) narrative.
  • Co-own the customer advisory pipeline for the bet and equip GTM teams with necessary artifacts like one-pagers, demos, and pricing rationale.
  • Operate transparently by publishing weekly progress updates, maintaining decision logs and learning summaries, and documenting the reasons for killing ideas.
  • Mentor adjacent Product Owners and Product Managers in New Products on discovery rigor, decision-making, and writing craft to elevate the team's capabilities.
