About The Position

SeatGeek is seeking a Lead Product Manager to take ownership of the native mobile experience, specifically the iOS and Android apps. These apps are crucial for millions of fans in discovering, shopping for, and attending live events. This role is highly impactful and visible, operating at the intersection of consumer product, platform technology, and fan engagement. The primary mission is to not only facilitate a fan's first great experience but also to foster repeat engagement, build loyalty, and establish SeatGeek as the go-to app for live event discovery. The Product Manager will be responsible for architecting the full user journey, from initial interaction to post-event engagement, aiming to convert one-time buyers into lifelong fans. This role manages a product that resides in users' pockets, competing for attention and needing to consistently provide value.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of product management experience with a proven track record of shipping native mobile products (iOS and/or Android) at scale.
  • Deep expertise in engagement and retention strategies, including experience building habit-forming loops, push notification programs, personalization systems, or lifecycle features that have demonstrably improved retention and frequency metrics.
  • Fluency in iOS and Android platform capabilities and guidelines, including a strong understanding of HIG and Material Design, and knowledge of platform constraints and opportunities (e.g., push notifications, widgets, on-device ML).
  • Hands-on experience with product analytics and attribution tooling (e.g., Amplitude, Firebase, Mixpanel, AppsFlyer) and the ability to build custom dashboards to answer basic retention or funnel questions.
  • Comfort with the operational aspects of mobile product shipping, including release management, feature flags, crash monitoring, and the ability to make timely rollback decisions.
  • Strong customer empathy and a keen eye for great design and user experience.
  • Strong data fluency, including the ability to define success metrics, analyze data, partner with analysts on cohort analyses, and make evidence-based decisions.
  • Experience with both iterative, experiment-driven approaches and zero-to-one initiatives that have delivered measurable business and customer impact.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with proficiency in modern prototyping tools (e.g., Claude, Figma Make, Loveable) for effective communication with cross-functional partners.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams towards ambitious goals with urgency and clarity.
  • 5+ years as an engineer with a focus on writing code.
  • A foundation of technical excellence that inspires the team.
  • Knowledge of the technology industry to guide teams in making sound tooling and framework decisions.
  • Understanding of how to lead by setting context and facilitating collaboration among product, design, engineering, and leadership.
  • Product-minded engineering experience, particularly with products spanning native mobile, web, and backend systems.
  • Experience working in both consumer and enterprise products.
  • Candidates must be based on the East Coast, with a preference for those in the New York City area.

  • Experience with marketplace or ticketing products, or consumer apps in entertainment, sports, or travel, particularly those addressing challenges of emotional purchase decisions and infrequent usage.
  • Experience with products leveraging machine learning or AI-powered personalization for content surfacing or recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Own the vision and strategy for SeatGeek’s native iOS and Android apps, covering the entire user journey from first open to post-event, to create a cohesive experience that earns a permanent place on fans’ home screens.
  • Build and execute a roadmap focused on driving repeat engagement, including strategies for push notifications, personalized content, re-engagement flows, loyalty mechanics, and native platform features like Live Activities, widgets, and app clips.
  • Drive execution in collaboration with engineering, design, and data science teams, utilizing a mix of fast iterative tests and larger strategic initiatives to increase Monthly Active Users (MAU), session frequency, and retention.
  • Leverage behavioral data, user research, and mobile platform insights to identify engagement gaps and design experiences that foster habitual, high-frequency usage.
  • Partner with marketing and CRM teams to ensure alignment between in-app experiences and owned-channel campaigns, creating a cohesive system of push, email, and in-app touchpoints.
  • Collaborate with marketing and UX to manage SeatGeek's presence on the App Store and Google Play, focusing on store listing optimization, ASO keyword strategy, creative assets, and ratings/review management, treating discoverability as a key growth lever.
  • Partner with analytics and engineering on release cadence and app health, monitoring crash-free session rates and performance regressions, coordinating go/no-go decisions, and implementing feature flag and rollback discipline.
  • Stay current with mobile platform advancements, including iOS and Android capabilities, HIG and Material Design guidelines, and the application of AI and on-device intelligence for personalized fan experiences.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders in marketing, partnerships, and operations, advocating for native experiences that drive long-term engagement.
  • Evangelize the native mobile fan experience across the company by sharing learnings, celebrating successes, and connecting native mobile strategy to broader business outcomes.
  • Provide mentorship to junior product team members and contribute to the enhancement of the product team's culture and best practices.
