Senior Product Manager, KYB - MoonPay Enterprise

MoonPayNew York, NY
$217,000 - $279,000Hybrid

About The Position

MoonPay Enterprise is seeking a Senior Product Manager with deep expertise in Know Your Business (KYB) or Know Your Customer (KYC) processes to lead the strategy and development of their business onboarding platform. This role is crucial for scaling MoonPay Enterprise's operations, ensuring that business onboarding is fast, measurable, API-first, and compliant. The Senior Product Manager will own the end-to-end business onboarding experience across various models, connect KYB to other critical functions like KYC and banking provider onboarding, and drive product innovation using AI. The ideal candidate is a principal-level product leader with a bias for action, comfortable with complex, compliance-heavy B2B products, and capable of turning regulatory requirements into elegant product solutions.

Requirements

  • Principal-level Product Manager with deep KYB or KYC platform experience.
  • Proven track record of owning onboarding, identity, verification, or risk as a platform, not just a feature.
  • High agency: ability to identify problems, claim them, and fix them without waiting for mandates or perfect data.
  • Experience with zero-to-one product development and taking unowned surfaces from first principles to launch.
  • AI-fluent and comfortable using AI tools daily for analysis, prototyping, and drafting.
  • Ability to interpret compliance requirements and translate them into API designs, funnel steps, and user copy.
  • Deep understanding of funnel metrics: pass rate, time-to-verified, manual review rate, cost per verification.
  • Experience in API-first B2B product management, with users being partner engineers and businesses.
  • Experience running verification vendors (e.g., SumSub, Persona) and making decisions about vendor strategy.
  • Ability to elevate the product team's approach to scoping, specifying, and shipping compliance-heavy products.
  • Bias to action; not interested in reactive stewardship of existing flows.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with stablecoin operations, enterprise treasury, cross-border flows, or financial infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with different business onboarding models (B2B, B2B2B, B2B2C).
  • Understanding of UBO requirements, virtual account structures, and corporate shareholder structures.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance in the financial services or crypto space.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the KYB product strategy and roadmap.
  • Own the end-to-end business onboarding process for partners, direct businesses, and business customers onboarding through partners.
  • Connect KYB decisions to other product surfaces, including KYC, Travel Rule capture, banking-provider onboarding, and Issuance partner diligence.
  • Determine the expansion and prioritization of KYB coverage across MoonPay Enterprise's three KYC delivery models.
  • Develop deep product expertise in MoonPay Enterprise's KYB operations, understanding outcomes, UBO requirements, virtual account structures, and API behavior.
  • Own and optimize the onboarding funnel, focusing on pass rate, time-to-verified (targeting 48-72 hours), manual review rate, and drop-off points.
  • Instrument and measure approval speed and rejection quality, and implement improvements.
  • Redesign the rejection user experience to provide clear reasons, retry semantics, and resubmission flows via an API.
  • Develop and enhance the KYB API surface, including statuses, webhooks, document submission, and handling complex edge cases.
  • Ensure partners can integrate KYB within weeks and self-serve onboarding questions.
  • Translate compliance-approved onboarding matrices into product logic, abstracting complexity for partners.
  • Define how EDD triggers, high-risk classification, prohibited industries, and Travel Rule capture are integrated into the product.
  • Collaborate closely with compliance teams to shape policy into product.
  • Manage the verification stack, including build-versus-buy decisions for vendors like SumSub.
  • Monitor and optimize cost per verification, automation rate, and vendor performance.
  • Evaluate the need for additional providers, vendor waterfalls, or in-house tooling.
  • Drive AI-assisted review to replace manual queues where appropriate, ensuring risk is not increased.
  • Ensure KYB remains compatible with new banking provider onboarding requirements without excessive data collection.
