As a Product Manager at Grafana Labs, you will develop a vision and strategy for your product domain, own the product roadmap, collateral, and market research, and collaborate with Grafana leadership on product goals. You will be the primary advocate and expert for your area, with strong communication skills for both external customers and internal stakeholders. Given the 100% remote and globally distributed nature of the teams, proactive communication is essential. Product Managers act as a bridge between Engineering, Design, and UX to GTM, facilitating information flow and demonstrating technical proficiency. This specific opportunity is for the Senior Product Manager for Infrastructure Observability (Infra O11y). You will be responsible for Grafana Cloud products within the infrastructure suite, including Kubernetes Monitoring and Cloud Provider Observability. This role ensures customers can easily monitor their core services, from self-serve to enterprise clients. You will define the vision and ensure the long-term success of Infra O11y, working with engineering partners to refine product strategy. This includes charting the path for new initiatives like Host Monitoring, while maintaining roadmaps and customer satisfaction for mature products. The role requires significant customer discovery, understanding user needs, and building consensus across multiple Engineering groups and stakeholders to simplify the Infra O11y experience in Grafana Cloud. You will also be involved in GTM activities such as competitive analysis and sales enablement to inform pricing and packaging. Additionally, you will ensure that the experiences you build integrate seamlessly with the broader Grafana Cloud suite, including Grafana Cloud Knowledge Graph and Grafana Assistant, to provide a unified monitoring experience.

Requirements

  • A BS/BA in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years of experience in Product Management
  • 5+ years of experience in a B2B SaaS product
  • Experience using or building developer-facing tools, APIs, or platform services
  • Ability to discuss APIs, data models, schema evolution, and distributed systems concepts
  • Experience driving adoption of shared services or platform capabilities across multiple product teams
  • Experience working with Engineering and Design teams build delightful products and features – with sounds UX – in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with open source software and/or commercial open source companies
  • Experience using or building observability products and/or developer tools, either internally as an SRE or for external customers
  • Proficient with infrastructure concepts and components – like Kubernetes, Cloud Service Providers, and VMs – and able to articulate these models in human-readable terms
  • Experience with AI tools

Responsibilities

  • Transform ideas and feedback into a product vision and roadmap
  • Empathize with customer problems in order to collect user needs, requirements, and pain points
  • Curate and properly represent user feedback to Engineering, while providing evidence to support tradeoffs and priorities
  • Work closely with PMM to enable GTM on product differentiation, including creating and updating presentations, documentation, website content, datasheets, and whitepapers.
  • Use your deep product expertise to make decisions about our go-to-market strategies, pricing, packaging, licensing and tiering
