Senior Product Manager, Hyperscale/Data Center

Iron MountainMassachusetts - Remote, MA
$123,500 - $164,700

About The Position

At Iron Mountain, we are seeking a seasoned Product Manager to own and grow our front-of-lifecycle Data Center infrastructure services portfolio. This role is pivotal, sitting at the intersection of hardware, software, and services, and encompassing the entire lifecycle of compute, storage, and networking assets from specification and procurement to configuration, deployment, and management at scale. You will collaborate closely with Hyperscale cloud providers, Neo Cloud operators, Enterprise IT organizations, Colocation providers, and OEMs/ODMs to understand their needs and translate them into differentiated, high-impact, and circular capabilities. This is a highly cross-functional role requiring a blend of industry domain expertise, technical credibility, strategic thinking, execution skills, and executive communication abilities. You will be responsible for the roadmap of services including hardware configuration, rack and stack, staging & deployment, forward and reverse logistics, and smart hands. Your accountability will extend to evaluating opportunities, developing recommendations, building business cases for funding, securing executive alignment, and ultimately building, launching, and scaling these capabilities.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of Product Management experience, with a focus on enterprise data center infrastructure.
  • Deep domain knowledge of the Data Center ecosystem — including Hyperscale cloud builders (AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle, etc.), Neo Cloud / GPU cloud operators, Enterprise DC environments, and CoLo providers (Equinix, Digital Realty, etc.).
  • Hands-on familiarity with front-of-lifecycle workflows: hardware procurement and configuration, rack and stack, staging and integration, deployment logistics, and smart hands services.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and present business cases and strategic plans to senior leadership, and to achieve buy-in across complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Strong analytical skills — comfortable building financial models, sizing markets, and synthesizing qualitative and quantitative data into clear recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills; able to translate technical complexity into crisp, compelling narratives for executive and customer audiences.
  • Experience engaging with industry analysts and customers as a product spokesperson.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA preferred.
  • Experience at or with infrastructure services vendors, ODMs, VARs, systems integrators, or hyperscaler supply chain organizations.
  • Familiarity with DC infrastructure trends: AI/GPU cluster buildouts, liquid cooling, power density increases, next-gen networking, and automation/orchestration at scale.
  • Background in or exposure to professional services, managed services, or field services product development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead structured Voice of Customer programs across target segments, including direct customer interviews, win/loss analysis, advisory boards, and field feedback loops.
  • Conduct rigorous market sizing, segmentation, and competitive analysis to inform strategy and investment decisions.
  • Engage with industry analysts and participate in relevant forums to shape market narrative and gather forward-looking insight.
  • Own the end-to-end product roadmap for front-of-lifecycle DC infrastructure services.
  • Define product vision grounded in market dynamics, competitive intelligence, and customer need across different segments and geos.
  • Identify white space opportunities and build recommendations that drive differentiation, revenue growth, and operational scalability.
  • Build robust business cases for new capabilities and investments, including market opportunity sizing, financial modeling, pricing strategy, and ROI projections.
  • Define success metrics and KPIs for each capability area; establish clear go/no-go criteria and track performance post-launch.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure plans are grounded in realistic growth targets, cost structures, and margin levels.
  • Develop and deliver compelling executive-level presentations to secure investment, alignment, and go-forward decisions from Leadership Teams.
  • Drive cross-functional consensus across Technology/Engineering, Operations, Commercial, and Finance — managing competing priorities and navigating organizational complexity.
  • Maintain a clear, regularly updated product narrative that keeps stakeholders informed and engaged throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and other GTM teams to develop positioning, packaging, and pricing strategies for new capabilities.
  • Partner with Technology/Engineering on software build-out.
  • Partner with Operations on onsite / shop floor processes.
  • Define service specifications, SLAs, and acceptance criteria in partnership with delivery stakeholders.
  • Work across end-to-end teams (from Marketing to Billing) to ensure service capabilities are operationally ready to scale.
  • Support enablement efforts.
  • Support pipeline development through customer engagements, RFPs, and executive briefings; serve as a product SME in customer-facing conversations.
  • Establish feedback mechanisms to continuously improve service quality and customer satisfaction measured through NPS scores.
  • Track product performance against success metrics/KPIs set prior to launch.
