Role Purpose: The role is responsible for delivery of co-development and product selection opportunities, within the brand/T1 production creation cycle. Through this, the role will drive the success of assigned product lines throughout their lifecycle. Acting as a key interface to brand customers, the role ensures that products meet market needs, support commercial objectives, and deliver competitive value. The role serves as the voice of the customer within the organization, translating market requirements into product specifications, supporting successful product launches, and enabling commercial growth through technical expertise and market intelligence.

Requirements

Strong understanding of product management principles and product lifecycle management
Knowledge of market segments, customer requirements, and performance specifications

Responsibilities

Provide a critical technical resource to brand product creation teams
Curate relationships to advocate for Coats products and value propositions
Monitor product development activities from concept through final release to ensure products meet market and customer expectations
Develop a deep understanding of market trends, customer needs, buying behaviors, and competitive offerings
Gather, analyze, and communicate information regarding competitor products and market developments
Identify customer challenges and translate them into clear market requirements for product management and development teams
Build strong, proactive relationships with brand representatives, Tier 1 manufacturers, and strategic customers
Influence customer decisions through technical expertise and product knowledge.
Act as the primary technical-commercial interface between customers and internal teams
Maintain regular communication with Sales, Technical Service, R&D, and Marketing to ensure alignment and successful execution
Deliver product presentations, technical training, and application support to customers, Sales teams, and internal stakeholders
Provide guidance on product handling, processing, and selection
Advocate best practices to ensure high-quality manufacturing outcomes and optimal product performance
Actively support and train Sales teams to strengthen commercial effectiveness
Support R&D projects through product trials, market feedback, and analytical evaluations
Provide customer and market insights to guide future product development
Participate in product validation activities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Building technical relationships with customers and brands during product creation and commercialization
Influencing customer product decisions through expertise and consultation
Supporting successful market introduction of new products
Strengthening collaboration between Sales, Technical Service, and Development teams
Providing competitive market intelligence
Training and supporting Sales teams to improve commercial success
Supporting R&D with market-focused feedback and validation
