Requirements

  • Significant product management experience in SaaS, FinTech, or another technology-driven business with complex workflows; experience with embedded payments, multi-lender waterfalls, decisioning systems, other multi-partner financial integrations, or legacy-to-modern platform migrations is preferred, and experience in home improvement, home services, or construction tech is a plus
  • Track record of owning a meaningful product area and driving measurable outcomes with high ownership, high standards, and limited direction
  • Strong appetite to learn the nuances of the home improvement industry and fintech mechanics
  • Strong technical aptitude and fluency, with the ability to reason through APIs, integrations, data aggregation, event logic, rules engines, and complex system behavior, and translate that complexity into clear product requirements and well-prioritized engineering work
  • Strong product judgment in ambiguous, fast-moving environments, including the ability to simplify complex workflow problems into iterative releases without losing end-to-end value
  • Low-ego collaborator who can influence Engineering, Design, Legal, Finance, and go-to-market partners through clear rationale and strong communication
  • Comfort using AI and other modern tools to accelerate research, synthesis, prototyping, and targeted product changes, including functional prototypes and engineer-reviewed pull requests where appropriate

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with the Head of FinTech to turn platform vision into clear product requirements, priorities, and execution plans across legacy products, next-generation platform investments, and the workflows that connect them
  • Build deep understanding of the moments where qualification, financing, payment, invoicing, and billing most affect rep efficiency, close rate, job size, cash flow, and customer trust
  • Maintain regular customer contact through interviews, on-site visits, call reviews, and other direct touchpoints
  • Improve backlog quality and issue triage by turning customer needs, business priorities, and technical constraints into clear, well-scoped work for Engineering
  • Partner with Engineering and Design to explore, prototype, and ship high-quality experiences across lender flows, payment capture, billing, collection, and related financial workflows
  • Use AI and other modern tools to synthesize research, mock up flows, prototype solutions, and validate ideas quickly with customers
  • Bring clarity to complex financial and technical logic across embedded payments, multi-lender waterfalls, decisioning rules, APIs, data aggregation, billing logic, and migration paths
  • Drive phased migration from legacy payment and financing flows to next-generation platform capabilities, including dependency reduction, workflow continuity, and feature parity across products
  • Lead cross-functional work across processor evaluations, partner onboarding, infrastructure migrations, and feature rollouts that require strong coordination across product, engineering, and go-to-market teams
  • Identify product and business opportunities to improve approval flow, payment performance, margin, and operational efficiency across Leap’s financial experiences
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs early, and work across Legal, Finance, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to resolve or mitigate them
