About The Position

RTX is seeking a business savvy software product manager to define, prioritize and oversee the development of software products, ensuring they meet market needs and business goals. The successful candidate will act as a bridge between the market, customers, and the development team, guiding the product lifecycle from conception to launch and beyond.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or a related field. or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or a related field and minimum 7 years experience
  • 10+ years of experience related to product management and/or software development.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

  • Defining the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, and ensuring alignment with the company's overall goals.
  • Maintain and be responsible for the clear product requirements, delivery with the Engineering team and metrics for success are built and maintained.
  • Conducting market research, competitor analysis, and gathering customer feedback to understand market needs and identify opportunities.
  • Translating market requirements into detailed product specifications, user stories, and prioritizing features based on business value and customer impact.
  • Collaborating with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and other teams to ensure seamless product development and launch.
  • Managing the entire product lifecycle, from conception to end-of-life, including planning, development, testing, launch, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Tracking product performance using key metrics and making data-driven decisions to optimize the product.
