About The Position

As the Senior Product Manager, Digital Assessment Experience, you are a strategic, user-centered product leader who brings curiosity, creativity, and a deep commitment to improving how students and educators experience digital learning and assessment. You lead a core, end user–facing experience within College Board’s digital assessment platform, shaping how students, educators, and institutions engage with the tools that enable secure, accessible, and meaningful assessment at scale. You bridge user insights, business priorities, and technical delivery to ensure every experience is intuitive, reliable, and built for the future. You blend strategic innovation with delivery excellence, shaping priorities through user research, data, and platform strategy while owning the usability, accessibility, and long-term evolution of your product area. You are accountable for delivering experiences that are both user-centered and scalable, advancing College Board’s mission to expand educational opportunity through secure, engaging digital assessments.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of product management or related experience, with a proven track record leading products within SaaS enterprise platforms.
  • Deep understanding of secure, large-scale, and complex systems, with proven experience in K–12 assessments or educational technology environments.
  • A proven ability to drive measurable business and user outcomes through discovery and delivery.
  • Experience collaborating closely with designers, engineers, content strategists and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver intuitive and reliable user experiences.
  • High attention to detail and exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, precise documentation and ensure shared understanding across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple dependencies and priorities effectively.
  • Experience leading pilots and experiments to test and validate user-facing capabilities.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards and UX best practices.
  • The ability to travel 5–7 times a year to College Board offices or on behalf of College Board business.

Responsibilities

  • Define and Drive Product Strategy and Roadmap (30%) Establish and maintain a clear strategy and roadmap for your product area that drives measurable improvements in student and educator experiences while aligning with College Board’s broader digital strategy. Use data, research, and feedback to identify and prioritize opportunities that deliver the highest-value outcomes for users. Lead user discovery and experimentation to uncover unmet needs, test new concepts, and validate product hypotheses before scaling. Identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation to enhance usability, streamline workflows, and personalize learning and assessment experiences. Align cross-functional teams and stakeholders around your roadmap so that delivery is cohesive, evidence-based, and outcome-driven.
  • Lead Iterative Product Development (50%) Translate product goals and strategy into a clear, iterative set of experiments and a delivery plan that delivers measurable improvements in the experience of users. Define clear hypotheses and measurable success criteria so that requirements are clear, testable, and aligned with both technology and business needs. Lead experimentation and rapid learning cycles with end users so that insights from early prototypes and pilots are validated before scaling and inform long-term product direction. Continuously refine priorities and the delivery plan based on data, research, and performance metrics so that each iteration advances usability and reliability. Collaborate daily with engineers, designers, and stakeholders to shorten feedback loops, accelerate delivery, resolve dependencies, and ensure critical features are intuitive and perform reliably at scale.
  • Communicate Value and Progress (20%) Provide clear, outcome-focused updates that communicate measurable impact and insights and demonstrate how delivery enables and advances College Board’s strategic goals. Share insights and learnings that demonstrate how new features improve student outcomes, educator efficiency, and institutional value. Share documentation, release notes, and updates so that internal teams understand and can leverage new capabilities. Lead demos and product presentations that build trust and excitement among internal and external stakeholders.
