About The Position
Rubrik is seeking a Senior Product Manager to revolutionize data protection and management in the multi-cloud world. This role is part of the Platform Product team, responsible for Rubrik’s industry-leading SaaS solution across all environments, from data centers to the cloud. The ideal candidate will own Rubrik's cloud and virtual scale-out cluster software, leading the full product lifecycle, driving alignment between cloud and on-premises solutions, and defining product vision and strategy. The role involves collaborating with engineering, design, and marketing teams, engaging with customers and partners, and supporting the Rubrik field and reseller community. Additionally, the position requires utilizing industry-standard product management methodologies to document and communicate product status and roadmap, including writing detailed documentation and presenting technical material to various audiences.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in product management or a related field, with a strong understanding of hardware and software integration.
- Strong understanding of cloud data management solutions and data center infrastructure.
- Experience presenting technical material to small and large audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Experience writing detailed complex documentation.
- Experience presenting technical material to small and large audiences.
- Strong collaboration, interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Operations Management.
- Experience with defining, building, launching and supporting SaaS cloud platforms.
- Strong understanding and working knowledge of public cloud infrastructure including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience with deploying software and SaaS solutions on key virtualization platforms, including Microsoft HyperV, VMware ESXi, Nutanix AHV and Red Hat RHEV (KVM).
- Understands modeling and optimizing cost for cloud SaaS offerings.
- Needs to understand the traditional on-premises data center infrastructure and workloads, including virtualization and databases.
- Is able to apply cloud concepts to modernize workloads and management of workload data.
- Data protection and/or cyber security experience (desirable).
- A desire to continuously learn and have fun.
- Demonstrate the value of Rubrik’s solutions.
Responsibilities
- Own Rubrik's cloud and virtual scale out cluster software, leading the full product lifecycle from ideation through development, launch, and ongoing enhancements.
- Drive alignment and consistency of management between cloud offerings and on-premises solutions deployed on industry-leading virtualization platforms.
- Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, aligning with customer needs and business objectives.
- Collaborate with engineering, design, and marketing teams to develop new features and optimize existing functionalities.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess product success and drive data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.
- Engage with customers and partners to gather feedback and drive product improvements based on their needs.
- Continuously evaluate the competitive landscape and market trends to identify opportunities and threats.
- Develop and execute strategies to differentiate Rubrik’s offerings and strengthen market position.
- Communicate the product vision and strategy effectively to internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide technical expertise and support to sales teams and resellers.
- Develop training and enablement materials for sales teams and resellers.
- Engage with key customers and prospects to understand their needs.
- Utilize industry standard product management methodologies to document and communicate product status and roadmap.
- Write detailed and complex documentation for both internal and external audiences.
- Present technical material to small and large audiences, effectively communicating complex concepts and product features.
- Maintain open and effective communication channels with all stakeholders to foster collaboration and transparency.
