Senior Product Manager - Consumer

Rec TechnologiesSan Francisco, CA
$140,000 - $200,000Onsite

About The Position

Rec is using AI to reimagine how the world plays, participates in community, and gets active. The company aims to create a future with more recreation for everyone. Rec operates at the intersection of a consumer product loved by everyday players and an enterprise platform trusted by organizations that power recreation. The team consists of experienced individuals from companies like Uber, The Athletic, MasterClass, Google, Microsoft, Strava, Hipcamp, and Airbnb. The Senior PM for Consumer will be responsible for the experiences that staff and everyday residents interact with, focusing on aspects that encourage repeat bookings. This includes the end-to-end booking experience and the front-desk membership and check-in flow. The ideal candidate is passionate about consumer product details, understands the dual audience of residents and staff, and thinks in terms of user flows, friction points, and conversion.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of relevant experience (PM, founder, or equivalent).
  • A track record of owning consumer-facing product experiences from research through launch.
  • Strong communicator and relationship-builder across all levels of an org.
  • Comfortable in fast-moving, ambiguous environments — you find the signal in the noise.
  • A Simplifier. You distill thorny problems into elegant, high-impact solutions.
  • A proven executor. You've shipped a wide variety of features across multiple launches and know how to rally a team under tight deadlines.
  • Genuinely curious about AI. You're already using AI tools in your workflow.
  • Excited about building for two audiences at once — the end customer and the staff member serving them.

Responsibilities

  • Own Rec's core booking experience end-to-end
  • Set the bar for what a delightful, modern recreation experience looks like — for both the person booking and the person behind the desk.
  • Partner closely with design to craft experiences that feel like the best consumer apps people use every day, not government software.
  • Use data and qualitative research to find where residents and staff get stuck, and turn that into a clear, prioritized roadmap.
  • Identify where AI can remove friction for end users — smarter recommendations, faster booking flows, and easier front-desk workflows.
  • Partner with customer-facing teams to understand how different cities and organizations use these flows, and build for that range without losing simplicity.

Benefits

  • Flexible PTO
  • top-tier health/dental/vision
  • a 401(k) plan
