Senior Product Manager - Connected Products
About The Position
Are you excited to help bring smart, connected products to life? We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our growing Connected Security team, supporting iconic brands like Master Lock and Yale. You'll lead the product strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle management for one or more connected product lines within the Security business unit. As a strategic leader, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and launch innovative products that enhance safety and convenience for our customers. This role balances technical depth with business acumen and customer empathy. You'll help shape how we compete and grow in the smart home and connected products space. Position location: This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule based out of Deerfield, IL (or San Francisco, CA). Effective mid-2025, Fortune Brands will transition to a new world-class campus in Deerfield, bringing together associates from across our U.S. offices, brands, and functions. The campus will offer vibrant workspaces for collaboration, along with amenities for dining, onsite daycare, fitness and recreation.
Responsibilities
- Own the product portfolio strategy and 3-year roadmap for assigned Connected Product Group lines.
- Conduct ongoing market analysis, competitive reviews, and Voice of Customer (VOC) research to develop best-in-class solutions.
- Partner with hardware and software development teams to drive new product introductions through the full product lifecycle.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful business tollgate reviews and product launch readiness.
- Translate customer needs into clear product requirements that deliver differentiated value and align with business goals.
- Support technical discussions with engineering and development teams.
- Lead pricing and margin strategies for assigned products to deliver P&L results.
- Define market segmentation priorities and collaborate with Sales and Channel Marketing on go-to-market plans.
- Manage ongoing product quality, lifecycle transitions, and end-of-life planning.
