The Group: The Group: The Morningstar Direct & Data group is the home of Morningstar’s flagship product. We work to serve the needs of professional investors in the Wealth and Asset Management firms. Morningstar Direct connects the product, research, business intelligence, marketing, and wholesaling groups within these firms, and drives efficiency across their primary manufacturing, distribution, and marketing workflows by leveraging Morningstar’s data, research, analytics, and reporting capabilities. The Role: Morningstar is looking for a Product Manager to define and lead the delivery of key strategic licensed data initiatives for the Direct & Data platform. You will act as both product expert and strategist to translate market trends, customer needs, competitive intelligence, and Morningstar intellectual property into innovative data deliverables that solve customer problems, and you will evangelize those offerings both internally and externally. The Product Manager will partner with our clients & prospects to incorporate the voice of the user and will work closely with development, design, marketing, sales, and support to decide on priorities for our roadmap creating a world-class experience for users. The ideal candidate will have deep familiarity with Morningstar’s data and software offerings for various personas in the global asset and wealth management industry and the tools they use to manage their workflows. The candidate should also have a strong grasp of the current industry landscape, the ability to meaningfully contribute to go-to-market efforts, and a desire to drive deliveries with strong partnerships and alignment with internal teams within the Direct & Data family and across the organization. Position Location: Chicago, IL (we follow a hybrid policy requiring 4 days onsite)
