Senior Product Manager, Cloud & Infrastructure Security

EquinixDallas, TX
$136,000 - $204,000Onsite

About The Position

The Senior Product Manager, Cloud & Infrastructure Security, owns the product strategy for Equinix’s cloud and container security capabilities. The role spans three product areas: cloud security posture and governance, runtime and container protection, and infrastructure and IaC security. The PM partners closely with cloud platform engineers, developers, and security operations — ensuring controls are effective and practical to adopt at scale.

Requirements

  • 5–10+ years in technical product management, with direct experience owning security products in cloud or infrastructure environments.
  • Solid understanding of cloud security posture management, cloud configuration policy enforcement, container and Kubernetes security, IaC scanning, and runtime workload protection.
  • Understands how security fits into CI/CD pipelines, container registries, and infrastructure-as-code delivery. Can work with engineering teams to integrate controls without disrupting how they build.
  • Track record of aligning engineering, security operations, and business stakeholders on a shared roadmap in a large, complex organization.
  • Comfortable going deep on how a capability works — from misconfiguration detection to container admission control — and translating that understanding into product decisions.
  • Writes and speaks plainly. Can make a complex security concept understandable to a business leader without losing the substance.
  • Takes accountability for outcomes. Follows through on commitments and flags risks early.

Nice To Haves

  • Thinks in Systems: Designs controls that work consistently across a multi-cloud environment and on-prem infrastructure — not one-off fixes for individual teams.
  • Balances Ideal and Practical: Makes clear tradeoffs between security coverage and developer experience. Keeps a prioritized backlog that reflects what engineering can actually ship.
  • Communicates Across Audiences: Explains technical topics plainly to non-technical stakeholders, and translates business risk into requirements engineers can act on.

Responsibilities

  • Own the roadmap across cloud posture management, runtime and container security, and infrastructure security controls. Keep priorities tied to business risk and engineering capacity.
  • Maintain a clear, actionable backlog for each product area. Translate security requirements into work engineering teams can execute, and track outcomes against defined goals.
  • Work with platform and infrastructure leads to embed security into developer workflows — pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and container delivery — without unnecessary friction.
  • Represent cloud security priorities across InfoSec, platform engineering, and business planning. Serve as the primary point of contact for questions and investment decisions in this space.
  • Lead early-stage work on new capabilities, including container image integrity and admission control. Define requirements, set success criteria, and manage the path from proof-of-concept to production.
