Senior Product Manager, Capital Markets

RobinhoodMenlo Park, CA
$129,000 - $195,000Hybrid

About The Position

Robinhood is seeking a Senior Product Manager for its Capital Markets team to help democratize finance by opening up private markets to everyday investors. This role involves owning end-to-end product strategy and development for products that provide retail investors access to pre-IPO shares, publicly traded funds holding private company positions, and new products for direct access to individual private companies and alternative investments. The position requires working with engineers, designers, researchers, data scientists, and the investing team to create industry-changing products. The role is based in Menlo Park, CA or New York, NY, with a requirement for at least 3 days per week in the office, emphasizing the company's belief in the power of in-person collaboration.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience building and shipping high-quality consumer or consumer fintech products.
  • A track record of shipping 0-1 products at scale, beyond prototypes and pilots.
  • Comfort with financial products that carry genuine complexity; ability to become an expert in a new instrument, offering structure, or regulatory regime quickly.
  • Experience working with legal, compliance, operations, or other regulated-product stakeholders, with the judgment to know when to push and when to redesign.
  • Experience working with 3rd-party partners on large-scale projects to deliver a shared product.
  • Strong product judgment and the ability to turn an ambiguous opportunity into a clear strategy, roadmap, and execution plan.
  • Ability to operate in unclear, 0-1 situations while sustaining a high quality bar under real-time pressure.
  • Demonstrated history of using research, experimentation, and analytics to guide decision making.
  • Clear communication and relationship management skills, with experience influencing across highly cross-functional teams and with external partners.
  • Passion for Robinhood's mission to democratize finance for all, and excitement about opening an asset class that has been closed to most investors.
  • Experience and proficiency building through the latest AI tools such as Claude Code, Gemini, Cursor, or ChatGPT.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with private markets or alternatives, such as closed-end funds, BDCs, interval funds, SPVs, Reg D offerings, or the IPO / ECM process.

Responsibilities

  • Own the strategy, roadmap, and execution for one of the Capital Markets product lines (IPO Access, Robinhood Ventures, or single-asset private offerings) and contribute to the strategy across all three.
  • Lead 0-1 launches, including the in-app experience for investing in a single private asset and the discovery surfaces that make private markets navigable for a first-time investor.
  • Translate ambiguous regulatory, operational, and partner requirements into clear, dependable customer experiences, working with legal, compliance, and operations.
  • Build and manage relationships with external partners (issuers, underwriters, fund administrators, and infrastructure vendors) to ship shared products.
  • Set the quality bar for a product line where a confusing flow can cost customers real money and trust.
  • Use research, experimentation, and product analytics to decide what to build and to prove what worked.
  • Communicate strategy, tradeoffs, and the reasoning behind them to senior leadership.
