Senior Product Integration Engineer (Mechanical/Automotive)

Harbinger Motors Inc.Garden Grove, CA

About The Position

As the Senior Product Integration Engineer at Harbinger, you will drive the physical and functional integration of the entire vehicle. Operating within our dynamic startup environment, you will ensure that diverse subsystems—from powertrain to interior trim—fit, function, and are fully manufacturable. You will take complete ownership of the Digital Mock-Up (DMU) and actively manage the master CAD assembly.

Requirements

  • Advanced proficiency in 3D modeling, with critical experience in Large Assembly Management using CATIA V6 / 3DEXPERIENCE.
  • Deep understanding of ENOVIA architecture, including BOM management, part numbering schemes, and release workflows.
  • Proven experience in vehicle architecture, occupant packaging, and legal/regulatory clearance requirements (e.g., vision zones, tire envelopes).
  • Strong grasp of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing to validate component fitment during physical assembly.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 3–6+ years in automotive product integration, packaging, or systems engineering.
  • Verifiable professional experience using CATIA V6/3DEXPERIENCE in a complex, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the integration of all vehicle subsystems within CATIA V6, ensuring spatial compliance, clearance requirements, and interface integrity.
  • Manage the product structure, lifecycle states, and engineering changes within ENOVIA. Ensure all engineering data is accurate, accessible, and strictly maintained.
  • Perform rigorous DMU reviews to identify packaging conflicts early in the development cycle. Work directly with Lead Engineers to resolve physical interferences.
  • Define and manage Interface Control Documents (ICDs) between hardware modules (e.g., establishing critical mounting strategies between the battery pack and chassis).
  • Track, analyze, and report on vehicle mass properties, center of gravity, and weight distribution.
  • Act as the technical liaison among Design, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to ensure the virtual design translates successfully to physical production.
  • Define and manage the 150% Master Product Structure within ENOVIA. Ensure that all vehicle variants (options, regional requirements, and trim levels) are logically organized and selectable.
  • Implement and oversee "Evolution" and "Variant" effectivity. Ensure the correct parts are associated with specific VIN configurations and production schedules.
  • Collaborate with Product Management to translate marketing and sales requirements into technical Option Codes and configuration rules within the PLM environment.
  • Validate the CAD assemblies for every possible build combination. Ensure that selecting distinct options does not create physical interference with standard components.
  • Manage the relationship between the Engineering Bill of Materials (EBOM) and the Sales/Manufacturing configurations to maintain seamless data flow across departments.
