About The Position

Our iOS mobile team is part of the Adobe Video organization, where we build video creation and editing experiences for storytellers across desktop, mobile, and web. We move fast, care deeply about craft, and believe the best products come from engineers who think like product owners. This role is for a Senior iOS Engineer who leads with judgment across code, product, and design, and who pushes back on specs that aren't right to help define better ones. The ideal candidate ships high-quality iOS experiences, knows how to leverage AI tools to accelerate their work, and brings genuine taste and instinct to every feature they own.

Requirements

7+ years shipping Apple applications
Deep proficiency in Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, and the iOS SDK
Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools — including agentic coding workflows — with the ability to direct and orchestrate AI sessions effectively and critically evaluate and validate generated output
Strong expertise in multi-threading, memory management, and performance profiling
Product instinct and UX sensibility — you know the Apple Human Interface Guidelines deeply, notice when an interaction feels off, and can articulate why it matters
Comfort with ambiguity; you're energized by finding the right answer, not just implementing a given one
Clear, precise communication — written and verbal — across technical and product contexts
A deep understanding of mobile video editing workflows — or the drive to develop it fast — and a habit of letting user feedback shape your technical decisions

Nice To Haves

Experience with AVFoundation and video/multimedia development
A track record of influencing product or design decisions rather than just implementing them
Familiarity with design systems or prototyping tools like Figma — enough for a real dialogue with designers
Experience building creative or video production tools or using video editing apps

Responsibilities

Own complex iOS features from interaction design through engineering and production.
Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering leaders to shape and refine product requirements using technical and UX instincts.
Use AI-assisted and agentic coding tools to accelerate delivery, applying strong judgment to direct AI sessions, evaluate output critically, and refactor where needed.
Make confident scope and priority calls that balance craft, velocity, and user impact.
Mentor peers while maintaining high standards across the codebase.
Test assumptions early, iterate on real feedback, and treat every release as an opportunity to raise the bar on usability, performance, and creative outcomes.
