Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Four (4) years of experience in quality, manufacturing, laboratory, and/or product/process development in a private, public, government or military environment

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with statistical analysis tools (ex. Minitab, Design of Experiments)
  • Experience working with adhesives or polymer films
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with strong communication skills both verbal and written, analytical and organizational skills to manage different priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Expanding and managing our product and process understanding for Post-it® Core Notes
  • Implementing programs to improve quality, reduce cost, qualify alternate sources-of-supply and expand product offerings to support the retail consumer business
  • Working closely with cross-functional teams, including Laboratory, Manufacturing, Business / Marketing, Supply Chain / Sourcing, Regulatory, and Quality to drive key Change Management Process (CMP) programs forward for existing products and product line extensions.
  • Verifying and documenting product specifications for existing and new products in 3M Product Lifecyle Management (PLM) system.
  • Conducting product claims testing, developing test methods, and documenting test results via 3M’s claim substantiation process in the PLM system.
  • Supporting, as a team member, New Product Introductions (NPI) to drive implementation and launch.
  • Responsibilities of this position include that corporate policies, procedures and security standards are complied with while performing assigned duties.
