About The Position

PrimaryMD is a concierge medical practice that integrates primary care, urgent care, and longevity medicine. We utilize a technology platform to provide personalized care by turning extensive member health information into clear plans and ensuring follow-through. We are rapidly expanding and seeking two Senior Product Engineers to own our platform end-to-end and shape the future of technology-enabled medicine. This role offers the unique opportunity to see your work directly impact patient health and to collaborate closely with physicians, care coordinators, and members.

Requirements

A track record of shipping and maintaining production software that real people use.
Full-stack development capabilities, including data modeling, backend, frontend, integrations, and deployment.
Ability to take an idea to production independently.
Experience working with AI coding agents (e.g., Claude Code, Codex) daily, with a system for producing quality output.
Strong product judgment, with the ability to determine what to build by talking to users and focusing on user experience.
A high degree of ownership, with the ability to identify problems, make decisions, and ship solutions without waiting for detailed specifications.
The ability to teach and share knowledge with the team.

Nice To Haves

Experience in healthcare or health tech.
A strong passion for healthcare.
Experience with HIPAA, patient data, and healthcare systems (EHRs, labs, wearables).
Experience founding a company, especially with a successful exit.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain the technology platform that enables physicians to know every member, look ahead, and follow through.
Develop the operating system for care teams, including task management, care plans, scheduling, and referrals.
Enhance the member experience by building features for results in context, wearable data integration, care plans, and communication.
Implement AI agents for tasks such as referral tracking, inbox triage, and drafting documentation.
Ensure data is connected, clean, and secure, surfacing critical information for physician attention.
Own the entire development lifecycle from idea conception to production, including architecture, review, testing, and maintenance.
Collaborate with the Founder & CEO on product direction.
Share ownership of the platform with another Senior Product Engineer, dividing responsibilities as the team grows.
Work with Chief Medical Officer and Chief Science Officer on clinical standards for any clinical features.
Engage with care teams in New York and San Francisco as daily users and for rapid feedback.
Ensure uptime, security, and patient privacy.
Utilize AI coding agents for development, taking ownership of architecture, review, testing, and production deployment.
Learn what to build by talking to users and understanding their needs.
