Senior Product Engineer, Platform & Portals

Revelation Pharma LLCRemote, US,
Remote

About The Position

HiveRx is a production pharmacy operations platform built for regulated compounding environments. It is actively used, actively growing, and actively being extended across pharmacy workflows, integrations, and compliance-heavy operations. This role owns core platform development: the features and systems that power every pharmacy we support. That includes sterile compounding workflows, pharmacy-specific operational needs, insurance and ERP touchpoints, and the platform foundations that will eventually support AI-assisted and agentic workflows. This is not a pure feature-ticket role, and it is not a generic backend role. It requires someone who can understand the business process, the regulatory constraints, the technical architecture, and the long-term platform consequences of what they build.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in software engineering, product engineering, or a related technical role.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable software applications.
  • Proven ability to lead technical initiatives, solve complex engineering challenges, and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile or similar development environment.
  • Strong proficiency in the programming languages, frameworks, and technologies required for the role.
  • Strong command of PHP and Laravel; you can read, debug, and write production code in a real codebase
  • Comfortable with Vue 3, Inertia.js, Tailwind CSS, and Vite-based frontend tooling
  • Able to move between backend services, frontend workflows, database state, integrations, and release validation
  • Able to work within an established architecture without needing to rebuild it
  • Experience working in or building software for regulated industries, preferably healthcare
  • Understanding of compliance considerations that affect software design: audit trails, data integrity, access control, PHI, and change documentation
  • Comfortable using AI tools as a productivity layer for research, code review, implementation support, and documentation
  • Able to critically evaluate AI-generated code and documentation before relying on it
  • Strong technical writer; your specs require minimal clarification
  • Able to communicate clearly with both engineers and non-technical stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented without being slow; you know when work is ready to build
  • Comfortable explaining tradeoffs across platform, portal, UX, compliance, and delivery constraints
  • Senior ownership mentality with strong execution range
  • Comfortable context-switching without dropping quality
  • Practical and disciplined; you know when to build, when to clarify, and when to push back
  • Not looking for a role with clean lines; this role has overlap by design and requires someone who can context-switch without losing quality

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Integration experience is useful; ERP or NetSuite experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with pharmacy, compounding, dispensing, ERP, or adjacent workflows is a meaningful plus
  • Understands that external portal behavior and internal operational workflow must stay aligned
  • Understands where AI output requires extra scrutiny: edge cases, regulatory logic, data handling, integration, boundaries, and cross-workflow behavior

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to both core HiveRx platform work and patient/prescriber portal development
  • Build full-stack features across Laravel, Vue, Inertia, Tailwind, and the existing platform architecture
  • Help prevent platform and portal tracks from stalling due to single-person dependency
  • Maintain architectural consistency across internal and external product surfaces
  • Participate in QA, release planning, and post-release validation across multiple product areas
  • Translate business needs, portal concepts, and regulatory requirements into clear implementation plans
  • Research workflows, compliance constraints, integration behavior, and user experience requirements
  • Improve technical specifications when work needs more structure before implementation
  • Identify gaps in handoffs, acceptance criteria, dependencies, or release planning
  • Work directly with stakeholders to clarify requirements without turning every ambiguity into a meeting
  • Support platform features involving pharmacy workflows, compliance-heavy operations, ERP-adjacent needs, and business-system integration
  • Build patient and prescriber portal workflows that are polished, secure, and operationally correct
  • Understand how internal workflow changes affect external users, data, reporting, and operational queues
  • Contribute to technical, user-facing, and compliance-relevant documentation
  • Keep product momentum high without introducing long-term complexity
  • Other duties as assigned
