About The Position

LocalStack is a fast-growing Series A startup building cutting-edge technology to revolutionize cloud development processes and support highly efficient dev&test feedback loops. We are seeking a Senior Product Engineer with expertise in GCP to scale our GCP emulator product into a GA-ready offering. This role involves owning the full roadmap of the GCP emulator, operating the agentic production line, and instrumenting, measuring, and iterating on adoption based on user feedback. You will also work closely with the GTM team to integrate the GCP emulator into our broader product suite, which includes offerings for AWS, Snowflake, Azure, and digital twins.

Requirements

• 7+ years professional software engineering or sales/solutions engineering in GCP context.
• In depth knowledge of GCP and exceptional understanding of how GCP is being used.
• High systems level fluency in what emulating a cloud actually requires: APIs, auth, resource models, distributed systems.
• Demonstrated strong system design thinking and experience.
• Proficient in any language (Python, Go, Rust or some comparable language).
• Experience with Claude/Gemini/Codex class tooling to ship solutions.
• Deep knowledge in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and distribution mechanics: single binary packaging, cross platform builds, licensing / entitlement gating, telemetry instrumentation.
• Experience in a product-based environment with a strong product mindset, preferably VC backed Series B+ (devtooling or cloud infrastructure preferred).

Responsibilities

• Scale MVP of the GCP emulator product into a GA ready product.
• Own the full roadmap of the GCP emulator.
• Independently operate the agentic production line for GCP product.
• Instrument, measure and iterate on adoption, connecting directly with users and driving evidence based changes.
• Work closely with GTM team to integrate GCP emulator into a wider product suite offering: AWS / Snowflake, Azure, digital twins etc.
