About The Position

This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career. As a Senior Product Development Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Leads product development of new PSA technologies, including technical leadership of Class 4/5 product development deliverables as well as Class 3 NPI project leadership Implements new PSA technologies that meet the needs of our thin bonding business Determines performance differentiators that matter to our customers and develops robust scalable solutions Supports the advancement of our PSA platform to drive new product growth, establish a pipeline of new opportunities via inventions and collaboration across the company

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Three (3) years of product development related new product commercialization experience in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Nice To Haves

  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or Chemistry from an accredited institution
  • Five (5) years of new product development and commercialization in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Skills include performance measurement of PSA tapes and adhesives, working knowledge of adhesive formulation and scale up with a willingness to implement new technologies, identifying key customer needs and translating them into winning solutions, ability to work in a cross functional team to deliver results, Good time and project management skills to effectively advance products through a stage gate commercialization process.

Responsibilities

  • Leads product development of new PSA technologies, including technical leadership of Class 4/5 product development deliverables as well as Class 3 NPI project leadership
